    Immunity excuses one for a crime they did commit, If the act was legal to begin with there is no need for immunity. By saying "I have immunity", you are really saying "Yes I did commit that crime, however the courts excused me for it." Claiming immunity is an admission of guilt. After SCOTUS says there is no immunity, Trump has already admitted guilt by claiming he has immunity, and things will happen very quickly after that.

    • @markkozlowski3674

Only trials or guilty pleas determine guilt.

    • @dera6347
      @dera6347 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@markkozlowski3674 That is correct, A crime must have been committed before immunity can even be a thing. There is no way immunity can be a thing if a crime was not committed. Without the crime there is no immunity.
      Even you keep saying a crime was committed in your posts, although that crime was excused. Excused or not, the crime is still a crime.
      Another view. That diplomat over there unknowingly broke this law, that person will be excused for it due to not understanding our local laws. One must first break a local law before Immunity can even be a thing.
      All of this is why claiming immunity is an admission of guilt, because in every single scenario where immunity applies a local law was broken.

    The obvious issue is not whether one party can acuse another and place opposing candidates in jail...! The issue before the court ahould be solely on laws being broken. Did someone do nothing for over three hours while the capitol was being attacted resulting in death and distruction? Did that someone suggest that metal detecters be removed because they were not threating himself? The SCOTUS should rightfully decide in a case by case situation, not whether one party is attacing another party - but whether a person or parties has conspired, directed and was complicent in a violent action. In the future SCOTUS may again decide on an issue. This is a slam dunk conspiracy to subvert, as 62 lawsuits agreed, was a fair election. This obviousness of the former president accusing the rigging of elections goes back to 2012. This recent history lesson has eluded the Supreme Court...

    Constitution is for the people and by the people. US Presidents sitting or not who are committed or indicted with crimes, subversion, or any criminal related are not immune from liabilities. Like any othet cirizens they will be charged accordingly. Simple and direct.

    No problem with Presidents having immunity but the crime they wish to commit has to be premeditated and should be presented to a committee..Once the crime has been studied and the OK given the President may proceed with this crime within an appropriate time frame..The crime must be published ahead of time in local newspapers and internet news ....The crime cannot be carried out by Seal team 6 or a bunch of drunken confused hillbillies...The crime must be committed by the President himself.

      If we're going to sling that idea around, there's the small matter of the terrible job Trump did regarding COVID. A lot of people died.
      Neither, however, would lead to anything. Presidential immunity is a thing. Trump, however, is demanding TOTAL immunity. The difference being whether the possible crime was carried out in the course of the president's duties.
