- Polls have closed in the first phase of elections in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Thousands of extra police and soldiers were deployed as people cast their ballots.
A federally appointed governor has controlled the territory since New Delhi revoked its semi-autonomous status five years ago.

If you yourself call true media house not run on propaganda..kindly show both sides properly...look at the infrastructure development in last 10 year, 50 thousand direct government job provided to youth and 5 lakh through government sponsored programmes..tourism records are breaking every year..there are some section of society who were not given basic political right but because of present govt they are given rights. GDP of area growing at 6-7% constantly. FDI are coming to our area for first time. In last no government in world can provide all facilities but they are trying their best with limited resources.

Qatar stands in solidarity with India and the ruling hindu party in regards to the kashmir issue with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Article 370 gave India only a limited say in the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir , including Ladakh , which suited both China and Pakistan .
China was always a player in the so called Kashmir dispute overtly only between India and Pakistan. China wanted Ladakh to link up with Pakistan and Shaksgam valley . State Govt of Jammu and Kashmir , including Ladakh , was sympathetic to Pakistan ‘s and ultimately to China ‘s interests , especially , in Ladakh. Example Late Sheikh Abdullah refused to allow His Holiness The Dalai Lama and his followers to settle in Ladakh when they took refuge in India . Ladakh was most suitable for Tibetans both from climate and cultural points of views.
India ‘s direct control over both Kashmir and Ladakh has put an end to the China - Pakistani collusion . Present standoff in Ladakh is a joint China- Pakistan conspiracy.
