    Hi Jon! I like the scaffold storage idea! I’ve seen Tim do this on his channel as well. It great when you are trying to save space, and really convenient too! That Artillian frame is quite versatile. Thanks for sharing!

      The nice thing about the scaffolding is it makes a better storage shelf than an actual storage shelf. Plus it’s cheaper and on wheels. Your going to need a few of them in your new shop. Oh I would love to have a space like that!

    Bought 2 from Northern Freight a couple of days ago and a couple months ago I bought an Industrial Pallet rack set up 8 foot high x 4 foot deep x 12 foot wide that was about $60 more but not moveable.
    Thanks for the lower shelf idea, because I will use that plan for My garage storage of My Tractor Toys
    My ceiling is 7 foot 11.5 inches, so I will either have to cutoff the tops of My pallet rack sides or make holes in the ceiling drywall. Probably holes wins out because it needs work anyway.
    Plus, the scaffolding on wheels will give Me the flexibility to roll the racks anywhere I want in My low ceiling 2 car 1 narrow garage door garage/shop.The door opening is so narrow I can't get a 2 axle trailer past the door jams.
    I have been watching for these to go on sale and Northern Tool in Florida has them on clearance right now for a little less than Harbor Freight, but I only saw the sale because I checked Harbor Freights prices this week and they want $200
    Thanks
    Ken

    This dude lives in suburbia and has enough implements to manage a small estate! I understand your worry about compaction, but you do have a cab on your already heavy tractor. Why not just run a push mower or small lawn mower? The BX isn't light to begin with.
    I feel I should plug Ai2 Product's new SSQA forks, which are very light weight (167 lbs, forks and all) to help improve the lifting capacity on the BX. They're very well made. I own a set and am very pleased. Plus, the owner of Ai2 is a solid person.
    edit: Mr. Ritter does work on what appears to be sizable land. Out of curiosity, where is this land roughly located?

    I recall Tim Marks received a 2nd frame when he got his grapple. He can use the quick connect to switch between the forks and grapple. I would enjoy a video showing you do the switch on a single frame. While I like my Artilian forks, their grapple accessories cost about the same as many complete grapples which would be easier to switch between.

    • @ritterjon
      @ritterjon  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would make for good content, I'll try and get a video out sometime showing how that's done. The nice thing about the module grapple that I really like is that because it's module I can pick it up by hand and fit the whole thing in the back of my truck with my bed cover on. Plus the forks, trenching bucket and the fork frame itself. I think portability is one of the biggest advantages.

    Those scaffolds are a great idea, thanks for the tip. I have no clue where I'd put them though LOL. Lean-to on the end of the barn I guess as they don't really need to roll anywhere, just need a space to store implements and attachments when and if I get the tractor.
    I think I may look into the Artillian pallet fork setup, I believe it is supposed to weigh less than the Kubota/Land Pride pallet fork setup from the dealer, so it would give me more lift capacity I think.
    What is the rear 3 point hitch you are using, is that a Kubota/Land Pride attachment?

    When would you choose the trenching bucket over your BH?

    • @ritterjon
      @ritterjon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question, a backhoe is convenient to have at times but the trenching bucket is quicker to install especially if I have a different attachment I’m using on the back. Also the trenching bucket takes up a fraction of the room when I’m working somewhere else. Easy to transport and quick to use.

    If you do any welding, the bucket or forks will be a great carrier. The welder would have to be fastened to the forks maybe with rings that go over the forks similarly to pallet slots. That will keep the welder from falling off...As a suggestion ; if you would not mind, try aiming towards your scaffold ladder when placing the plow in it; then, turning sharply to place the left side in; after the right side is inserted...You would not have to move the scaffold that way...

    Buy another house to make more room for yourself . Been there done that . Bought the house behind me to give me more parking room . 2 boats , car and a truck fills the driveway . 30ft RV and another truck in the other driveway . Can't believe how much stuff one can collect over the years . Been that way for 30 years . No I don't rent it out . Too many horror stories about bad renters . Love that ball hitch on the front . Never knew that they existed . Most guys drill a hole in their forks and add a ball . I can see you moving to a bigger piece of property in the future . Like that scaffolding . Easy to move it around .TTWT . He's got more stuff on his property than some dealerships have . LOL . He just showcased a nice trailer the other day .

We live in a great neighborhood and it's perfect right now for our kids and that's what matters most. In 5-10 years I doubt we'll still be here. For now however, aquiring more garage space is my only option. I can't believe all the stuff us guys collect over the years. Sounds like you've got plenty of toys between your two places. :-) Hope your finding some time to enjoy the boats and RV.

    I really like your videos. I've watched quite a number as I consider what I want/need from my own first tractor purchase. I've found useful information and frankly you and your family are just enjoyable to watch.
    However, I strongly recommend you look at the FTC guidelines concerning disclosure of advertised products so as to keep yourself from some very unhappy legal problems. Perhaps I'm wrong but little things here and there make me think you receive some form of payment or free or reduced priced product from Artillian and/or their parent company Curtis in exchange for promoting those brands. If that is the case you should be openly stating that relationship on every video where you are making claims about their products.
    Beyond the legal ramifications you should also consider the importance of trust between yourself and your audience as you build your brand.

    • @ritterjon
      @ritterjon  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate you watching and I hope you’re getting some ideas as to what you want when you’re ready to purchase your first tractor.
      I also thank you for the information about the FTC guidelines. I am within proper guidelines of this and I wholeheartedly promote products because I have full faith in the quality, not because of any type of sponsorship.
      So what tractor are you leaning towards and what will your primary use be?

      @@ritterjon I finally decided on a Deere 2025r. I had narrowed it to a BX or 1025r or 2025r. In the end both the Deere and Kubota have their advantages and downsides. Deciding Deere I splurged on the larger 2025r.
      Primary uses will be mowing and snow removal on a fairly rural 1 acre. A little bit overkill for what it needs to do but that was part of the idea. Getting a little older and want the machine to do more and me less.
      Got a snow pusher with back-drag option rather than a plow as I have shorter wider areas and no long runs. Will eventually add a 3-pt snowblower. We'll see how the pusher handles things for a season first.
