Josh is so awesome, n64 with wrestling titles is personally a huge retro hit because of being able to play 4 players . First time seeing your channel, nice cases in background. I loved VGM , I took a financial break away from them for a while but absolutely loved them when I had the service. Customer service is also top notch. Subbed
Thanks! And yeah Josh is a great guy. I actually decided to do vgm to help me control my game spending in a weird way. So far, yeah it’s the first box, I’m really happy with the service.
I like the gameplay! Kinda fun to see games like that - makes me think of stuff I rented as a kid! I like videos around 15(ash) minutes if I'm honest. It's the sweet spot.
Pretty good box! I'm currently subscribed to retro game treasure and been pretty happy with them but I hear good things about vgm as well and I really enjoy watching what people get in their boxes! Just subscribed to your channel
Yeah I watch channels that do that box also. I think all of the box services are good for what they are. I just started this one so I don’t want to subscribe to more yet but I’m thinking about it for the future.
Pretty good box dude! Sky Shark and Snake Rattle and Roll are nice grabs for the NES. Approaching these services with the fun not value mindset will serve you well. As long as you are happy with the games that’s what matters. Cheers bro! 🍻
Nice pickups! I'm glad the games seem to be working fine too. I'm the same as you where I need disc based games to come as a complete package, they need to have their official cases! Cartridges are fine without their boxes though.
Yeah I think it boils down to being able to display them properly. Though I think I’m going to have to get those stickers for the 64 games soon so I can tell which game is which
I had video games monthly for over a year and it was a fun box to get every month, but it got to a point they were only sending me imports because I had most games, lol. Really enjoyed you trying the games! I should do that as well, but I'm lazy, lol.
Yeah I’ve heard other people have had that problem. My collections are so small though that I should be good for at least a couple of years if I stick with the service. It should be fun.
It seems to me that you are going to get a lot of sports and puzzles games if you don’t set up your preferences. What I would suggest is changing the preferences to RPGs, beat em ups and action/adventure so you can get more quality and less sports and racing
This is going to sound weird but I’m actually okay with that. I’m not expecting to get gold from the service. Just games I wouldn’t ordinarily pick up. Also if it’s a rpg or a game I really care about I’d rather make sure I pick up a clean copy or potentially one that is cib. But I understand what you are saying.
If you go into vgm just wanting to grow your collection and not being entirely obsessed with value, this is a good way to do that from what I have seen.
I like the surprise and the gameplay, but would recommend editing out when you struggle with the hardware. Maybe mention it but not show it. Great video tho, I enjoyed it
Seems like your connector pins in your NES are going.. Might want to look into replacing those connectors. That way, you're not having to pull the carts out slightly and forcing it down. You know you've been gaming for a long time when you start enjoying cleaning games. LoL.
Welcome to the club! I like the gameplay, but you probably don't need to show that the game works, just go right into gameplay. 99.9% of the time, cartridge based games should work. I always clean my pins before putting them into my consoles.
Yeah I’m going to do that first for now on. The basketball game worked perfectly and I could have had gameplay for that as well. Thanks for the advice.
I am going to go with Sky Shark, N64 has the best Wrestling games but i would say Warzone is one of the weaker entries but there is some really good ones on that system even if you arent into wrestling they are fun
It’s was good enough to get different games but I’m more into psp umd’s and vita collection although I have war zone, perfect dark and 007 for the Nintendo 64, I don’t play them as much since I modded my vita and it’s making my steamdeck and switch consoles dusty on the shelf😅
I've seen a lot of people do this for the video games monthly box. Seems to be very interesting. A great way to build up a retro collection for sure. Plus why be a Jedi when you can just join the dark side 😊 😈 😆. My next package video probably won't be until March or maybe even April. But they are always fun to film. Plus adding more games to the collection is always awesome.

OMG I *love* Snake Rattle n' Roll!!! It's soooo fun, and the music is great too. Interesting pickups!
It did handle well. I’ll have to give it more of a chance.
I like the gameplay! Kinda fun to see games like that - makes me think of stuff I rented as a kid! I like videos around 15(ash) minutes if I'm honest. It's the sweet spot.
Yeah I’m trying to keep them a little shorter. That’s why I didn’t do too much gameplay.

I like seeing you play the games. Even just to test is fun.
Okay cool. Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah I was very happy with the first box. Thanks for the advice!
The gameplay and banter was funny to watch in my opinion…and thanks for calling me a sociopath
lol. It’s not just you. It’s your whole community!

Wow! race drivin. You totally scored!
@@Lordskeep oh yeah. Definitely a hidden gem…
I’ve considered trying out their service. Thanks for including the gameplay!
Yeah for my first month I was very happy with how it turned out.
Snake Rattle n Roll is awesome. The isometric 3D was ahead of its time
Yeah it was definitely not what I expected before playing it. I’ll definitely give that one more time.

I liked seeing the few seconds of gameplay because i was unfamiliar with these games also
I wasn’t either so maybe it will be useful to keep doing it like this.
Nostalgia overload
Yes! Exactly what I was hoping for.
If you go into vgm just wanting to grow your collection and not being entirely obsessed with value, this is a good way to do that from what I have seen.
That’s exactly my plan. I definitely don’t care about value coming from this service.
I like the surprise and the gameplay, but would recommend editing out when you struggle with the hardware. Maybe mention it but not show it. Great video tho, I enjoyed it
Yeah I think someone else said pretty much the same thing. So I’ll just get to the game play next time. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah it’s getting old. I’m sure I’ll need to get it serviced sometime in the future. Such a pain but I’m not surprised with how old it is.
Welcome to the club!

Hopefully I get more and try them out. And yeah sky shark was the clear winner. Not a bad set of games though.
If I was a retro collector, I would have certainly used this service, I’m thinking of a similar service for Nintendo Switch games, maybe someday soon.
Who does the switch?
It’s was good enough to get different games but I’m more into psp umd’s and vita collection although I have war zone, perfect dark and 007 for the Nintendo 64, I don’t play them as much since I modded my vita and it’s making my steamdeck and switch consoles dusty on the shelf😅
Modded as in digital games and not physical! You’re speaking a different language to this old man.
@ I’m 56 lol
@ okay you have me by a couple of years but I stand by my words!
@ 😂I know I just collected so much that the new digital stuff won’t even last 🙄

Yeah i think it’s going to be a good way for me to add more games. At least for a while.
I hope you only ever get shmups!
lol. The box wasn’t far off.
Yeah please show us the games you got that would be cool
That seems to be the winning opinion. Thanks for letting me know.
First. Can I get a cookie
