A cumbersome piece of equipment, as I recall. Thanks for posting this
Each machine is always an art construction reflecting the romantic and intelligence ideals of the authors. That's why I never been bored of seeing the machines operating.

Some do run equipment such as pumps, grinders, lathes,. I think and ice cream machine would be a rare treat but they do exist and are quite large.
