  • The head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Farid Zahran, has announced that he will run in the presidential elections scheduled for December.
During a press conference in Cairo, Zahran said that Egypt needed to be liberated from ‘authoritarianism’ and that elections should reflect the will of the people.
Nominations for the elections will take place between 5-14 October, with the election itself scheduled to take place on 10-12 December. On Monday, Egypt’s current president, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, confirmed he will run for a third term, which he is widely expected to win.

@@batko593I don’t know what’s funny to you. 90% of Egyptians are struggling & suffering on many levels (from our classrooms to infrastructure to hospitals & on & on) - but unlike Iran & Afghanistan the mainstream media is radical in ignoring Egypt for the benefit of Israel. Our soldiers are being killed on the border with their organs stolen. I don’t know what rainbow you live under but the corruption in Egypt is unchartered.

@huberto989 these western dogs are fed propaganda from their government about why their countries continue to collaborate with the egyptian dictatorship. they hate Islam more than love democracy basically and would rather that type of regime rather than a have a christian democratic union style party like in germany that is not under their economic control
