We need more biodegradable footwear! So many shoes end up in landfills year after year. Lono is doing it right. Love this brand’s mission and their high quality products.
These look like the perfect combination for gym workouts, trail running as well as casual wear. I love the sleek style and really dig the laces. Would be excited to try it out!
@@AndrewFolts any thoughts on sizing? I'm a 44 on vivos, do they fit pretty much the same? Their size indicated that they might run small, but wasn't too sure
Well thought and executed product, so many features. I really love the whole ankle section, foam base insole and lace system. I'm curious how your long term results will be on their rubber sole also.
Yea, so many features it was almost overwhelming to review, ha! Being thicker than Vivo's I'd expect 1,000 miles bare minimum, but glue can always be an issue with any non-stitched shoe. Gotta love that divot, though. Seems to really reduce wear at the point of most flex/tension.
@@AndrewFolts, the pivot divot is clutch, and a failure point of a lot of shoes, between pinching and rippage. Hey, they make shoe glue for a reason, so maybe they could be saved for some time if there's a bit of separation down the road.

Yea, I think I single handedly sold out the remaining stock of their first production run with my earlier video, ha. But the website says they're expected back around March 30th, or you can pre-order.
Thank you for sharing how many barefoot shoes are purpose-built in another video. You helped me figure out why my feet were hurting in my original Vivo Primus SG trail shoes! (Using stiff shoes with thick lugs on firm ground lol) Since, I've been trying to find the best balance of shoes. Winning the giveaway would mean the Lono Flow would fill the workout component I'm missing in my current lineup! Either way thanks again for sharing everything you do ✌️
Thanks for another great video Andrew! These definitely appear to be worth trying. What shoes would you recommend for running on roads/sidewalks for 2-3 miles per run? Also, are you familiar with a brand called Tadeevo?
The Flow would be a great options for that. It's very slightly padded and 6mm thick. The Vivo Primus Lite Knit is also excellent and a bit more flexible at 4mm without padding. th-cam.com/video/pMqB21BdMGw/w-d-xo.html The Freet Vibe would be a third option with a 4mm sole also and priced in between the other two. th-cam.com/video/TBJeliX7zIk/w-d-xo.html Vibram FiveFingers are superb if you're ok with toe shoes. They feel and fit similar to Vivo's, except with a tiny amount of padding and slightly thicker sole. But yea, for less than half the price, they're a fantastic alternative.
I’d love to test them as they check all the issues I had with my tired Vibrams. Especially the side lace and crimp are something I really would look forward to.❤
At 300$ tax in for the vivo primo lite 3 in Canada, it is no longer an option. I went to the Lono website but everything seems to be in pre order only.
Yea, that's rough for Vivo's. Revivo is a cheaper alternative, tho. bit.ly/3MEsjBm As for Lono, I probably single handedly sold out the first production run with my first impressions review earlier, ha. With small companies they often have to do preorders, because it's too expensive to do a manufacturing run without a ton of preexisting cash.
@@AndrewFolts you've probably seen me complain about their new pricing before but things aren't getting better even with Revivo where often the pricing is more than ordering in the usa and crossing the border to get new vivos. They are pricing themselves out of the market and it's unfortunate given I've been a customer for more than 10 years. I wanted to ask if you knew about Czech company named Skinners. They have shoesocks and also some normal shoes. I already have the shoesock and they are wonderful, the only thing I had been worrying about was the price, but it was worth it. I run them in the gym. Would you consider trying their moonwalker shoes? I am looking for some fashionable shoes to use with jeans, so your review would be helpful. Thanks😊
Oh cool, didn't know Sinners was making shoes now. Will put them on my list. 4.5mm sole and wide tookbox sounds great. The socks seem well made too, but I don't like that they're synthetic My feet sweat like crazy unless I'm wearing merino wool, but maybe some day they'll make wool Skinners socks.
Yea, I think they have started like a year ago. Def try them, I need to know if the money is worth it, thank lol. I have the same issue and actually the socks work for me. You have to try it to get to know if your feet sweats in them or nah.
I'm currently preparing for a strongman competition, and really in need of some new barefoot shoes for lifting in! After this, I'm interested in trying barefoot running for the first time. Really exciting that the Primus Lite is getting much stiffer competition now with all these great looking options coming out, like #lonoflow !
Beautiful shoes! I like the style. They seem to look good in any situation. I make an extensive use of barefoot shoes, both for sport and casual occasions. My size is 10.5 Thanks!
Are you planning on making a video on the Vivo Novus? The few reports on it I could find were mixed but none very useful for me. I really like the design but want to know more before buying it. Thanks!
It's not high on my list. It's kind of a weird shoe. Like, it has a trail sole but a white upper that's going to get filthy in the first five minutes of any trail. Supposedly it's also for city and XT, but it has those deep lugs that wouldn't be comfortable on pavement, especially for longer miles. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.
@@AndrewFolts that’s interesting. I don’t do any walking in nature at all (unfortunately!) so I‘m really just looking for day to day shoes I like the look of. This one looks great and I expected the tread on the sole just doesn’t really matter. I‘ll reconsider it once more. Thank you, this already helped!! The also added a black variant recently, btw.
I've been transitioning to barefoot shoes for the past year by wearing Lems. Toes are no longer cramped and I'm surprised that i don't need chunky arch support insoles. Am a little wary of shoes with thinner soles though, as i tend to put much weight in my feet when walking. Hope to receive these Lono shoes to try! #lonoflow
The Primus Lite Knit's have a slightly thinner and more flexible sole, which I prefer and may be more durable longterm, but in every other way they're either the same or the Flow is better, having some cool extra features (biodegradable, inexpensive, thin padding, toe/heel spikes for grip, etc).
Would love them because quite frankly, finding solid barefoot shoe options here in the UK outside of the main brands and without paying ridiculous shipping costs is near impossible 😅
Started my barefoot journey about three months ago. I’ve struggled to find a shoe that I’d be comfortable using in every situation and these look like the shoe. They look amazing and I like your comments about how wide they are. Hopefully I have a chance of winning these!! #lonoflow
They look good 😍 .. just a quick question .. I'm two months in with barefoot running .. did you hit a place where it felt super uncomfortable? I'm loving it walking and will never go back and I'm going to persevere with running but I've hit a wall maybe I've upped the milage a bit too much I don't know 🙈 I've dropped it back again and I feel ok but there are days I feel uncomfortable.. thanks muchly for the videos though I may well get some of these 😊
Yea, the transition can take a while and it's good that you're paying attention and not just plowing through. Taking your milage down for a while is important at times when your body needs to catch up. Make sure to keep your stride short and knees bent-that was a game-changer for me in terms of being injury-free (seven years now).
Do the xero speed force 2, it would be awesome for you if you like sprinting at the track. Also the co ceo has hinted at a barefoot insprired racing shoe with a new technology that would act like spikes but better.
I love that the shoe is not only healthy for your feet but healthy for the environment. I really don't like footwear that's all plastic and synthetics that will never biodegrade. Your foot heath is important and so is the health of mother nature 💚 and it's a total plus that they are affordable! #lonoflow
I found out about barefoot shoes from you a few years ago and decided to give them a try. Since then, I've never had the arch pain that I used to have, even when I ran a half marathon. I'm currently looking for a shoe that I can wear more confidently at college (my vivobarefoots are looking pretty rough from the few years I've been using them), and I think these would be perfect! #lonoflow
They're very similar in width. The Vivo Primus Lite's are slightly thinner and more flexible, but the Flow's a quite close (just a tiny amount of padding).
I like the look of these. I've been looking for something like this for gym, road running, and casual, but other options are over twice the price or dorky looking. #lonoflow
I'd love to have them because of their toes shape and lightweigtness! They aslo look very stylish not only for a gym shoes, but for a city go around too. #lonoflow
I‘m still in the process of replacing all my regular shoes with barefoot/minimal shoes, and this one perfectly fits the last category i‘m missing. #lonoflow
I feel like if the soles held out okay, these could be a really good alternative to the Primus Lite Knit. I would love to have a pair for daily use. Living in Alaska has given me an appreciation for protecting nature. These shoes are a good step in that direction. #lonoflow
#lonoflow looks like the ideal pair for in-door training, as well as some outdoor activities! I would use them in the gym first, to bring more barefoot feeling there!
I recently fully switched to barefoot shoes (thanks in large part to your videos!), and am looking for a pair to start running - these look perfect! Also love that they're compostable! #lonoflow
I have been searching to find a shoe I can run in during the colder months that feels anything close to the freedom that sandals provide. With the lono flow I could have the flexibility and groundfeel without my toes freeze off! #lonoflow
How convenient! Currently looking to buy another pair of barefoot shoes and really struggling with making a choice. This is one of the ones I’m considering. Regardless whether I win or not, thank you very much for this! :) #lonoflow
Like I said before, I unfortunately only walk on pavement. And even that, only once to twice per week. Other than that I’m on my bike to work or at work wearing my first barefoot shoes which are leguanos that are a little too small for me now. Buying another pair for work isn’t worth it though. So with that in mind, I’m mainly looking for shoes I like the look of and mainly ignore the purpose the manufactures say they are made for. I did actually buy the novus against your advice, but turns out I need TWO SIZES smaller than I bought and now it’s sold out. Right now I only have barebarics Zing and want an alternative. I‘m looking for something more modern and sporty-looking. Other than the novus I’m looking at Primus Trail knit, Primus lite/trail all weather, lono flow and newly the motus strength. Unfortunately right now I’m only very interested in vivos, simply because I’m too focused on looks for now. Gotta get that checked off and then get back down to earth and look at more brands lol And I’m also unsure about, with the motus as an example, how much the intended purpose of the shoe is an issue for me. I decided to risk it with the novus but now I can think about it… a tenth time haha
I wish there were more barefoot shoe stores in Germany. There’s only one in cologne (and apparently one in berlin) and they didn’t have any models I was considering when I went there. However I did get to try on a few primuses and the Primus Trail knit felt great on the foot, which is why I started considering it. Please forgive me for this incredible wall of text haha
#lonoflow Love your review of these shoes. They not only look awesome but are everything a great barefoot shoe should be just like you stated in your video. Thank you Andrew!
This would be a great first barefoot shoe coming from me who has only worn slippers for years and would want to wear something that does not squish my toes when I wear shoes at the gym‼️♥️♥️ #lonoflow
Well, it goes like this, my partner doesnt think i need to buy another pair of barefoots, but these look great, so maybe they could get shipped down under? #lonoflow
Coming back to comment on this video once again, so I can enter Andrew. :) What a cool giveaway, and these would be an awesome trainer for my daily walks. #lonoflow

Right on! I lifted for years in the Primus Lite's and the Flow's are def a great alternative.
Great video they look comfy
Feel like they should make house slippers too, ha!
Beautiful shoes! I like the style. They seem to look good in any situation. I make an extensive use of barefoot shoes, both for sport and casual occasions. My size is 10.5 Thanks!
A great shoe to make extensive use of. Good luck! (:
@@AndrewFolts I didn't understand where you're going to announce the winner 😁
@@stefanosperanza285 Community tab www.youtube.com/@AndrewFolts/community
@@AndrewFolts thanks! ❤️
#lonoflow
Nice! Yea, the minimal padding would make a great next step from Lem's.
would you say they are better than the primus lite knit for running and sprinting or overall
The Primus Lite Knit's have a slightly thinner and more flexible sole, which I prefer and may be more durable longterm, but in every other way they're either the same or the Flow is better, having some cool extra features (biodegradable, inexpensive, thin padding, toe/heel spikes for grip, etc).
love the fact that these are biodegradable, hope this concept to be adopted by more brands #lonoflow
Yea, they're leading by barexample, ha.
Love the wide toe box. The widest I have seen. And the aesthetic is great. And love that these are biodegradable #lonoflow
Yup, all pros and he only con is that they didn't exist sooner, ha.
Would love them because quite frankly, finding solid barefoot shoe options here in the UK outside of the main brands and without paying ridiculous shipping costs is near impossible 😅
Yea, shipping costs have gotten out of control. Good luck!
Seguaro are a good inexpensive brand in UK
Started my barefoot journey about three months ago. I’ve struggled to find a shoe that I’d be comfortable using in every situation and these look like the shoe. They look amazing and I like your comments about how wide they are. Hopefully I have a chance of winning these!! #lonoflow
Hey congrats on making the leap! They'd be a great first shoe, for sure. Good luck!
Hey there, you won the draw! Just fill out your email at the form here, and I'll send you a code for a your free pair.
@@AndrewFolts WHAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
@@AndrewFolts Hey sorry, I don't think my comment is going through. Where can I send you my email? Thanks again!
Hi, I need a shoe for those hot disc golf rounds in the summer.
Kindest regards.
Probably would be great for that!
@@AndrewFolts oh thanks that's a great tip .. I'll try that 😍 thanks so much 🥰
@@AndrewFolts tried that this morning and that feels so different!!! Thank you I think that's going to make a huge difference 😍
Is this the grey color? It looks beige to me but not white
I usually add a bit of warmth to my videos, so in reality I'd say it's more neutral gray.
Do the xero speed force 2, it would be awesome for you if you like sprinting at the track. Also the co ceo has hinted at a barefoot insprired racing shoe with a new technology that would act like spikes but better.
Yea, the Speed Force looks rad and is on my list. A racing shoe from Xero would be awesome!
i would like them to correct my foot alignement
That's a great goal, good luck!
I love that the shoe is not only healthy for your feet but healthy for the environment. I really don't like footwear that's all plastic and synthetics that will never biodegrade. Your foot heath is important and so is the health of mother nature 💚 and it's a total plus that they are affordable! #lonoflow
True, I feel like Lono's setting a great example here. Good luck!
#lonoflow
Hey Jordan, congrats on clearing up your arch pain! The Flow's would def be a good alternative to Vivo's. Good luck!
Are these wider than vivo? And how about the flexabilty? They look really cool! #lonoflow
They're very similar in width. The Vivo Primus Lite's are slightly thinner and more flexible, but the Flow's a quite close (just a tiny amount of padding).
Functional, fun and funky (Green colorway!). Great shoes especially for the price. #lonoflow
They certainly are, ha! Nothing like them, especially under $100.
Andrew, I have been eyeing these shoes since your video first came out. I think they would be a great option for my road running! #lonoflo
Hey Stanley, yep, they're one of the best road shoes I've tried so far. Good luck!
After years of wearing normal shoes, I wanna get into barefoot shoes and regain my feet's natural strength and function. These look FIRE! #lonoflow
That's a great goal and one I had myself too. Good luck, Miguel!
I like the look of these. I've been looking for something like this for gym, road running, and casual, but other options are over twice the price or dorky looking. #lonoflow
Yea, there's really nothing else like it under $100.
Amazing and comfy and lightweight! Would be proud to wear one! Very beautiful!
#lonoflow
You could almost call it "beautiflow," ha. (:
I'd love to have them because of their toes shape and lightweigtness! They aslo look very stylish not only for a gym shoes, but for a city go around too. #lonoflow
Yea, I wish I still went to the gym, because they'd probably get "woah, what are those??" reactions.
Great allrounder shoe!
I love how they seem to be perfect for every weather and/or terrain!
#lonoflow
Def a very versatile shoe. Maybe they'll make trail running ones some day.
I‘m still in the process of replacing all my regular shoes with barefoot/minimal shoes, and this one perfectly fits the last category i‘m missing. #lonoflow
It must have Flowed right into place. (:
Your review made me want them! Love the style and hope the quality is there #lonoflow
Seems great so far, but yea, good luck for the draw!
Like the video, I Bet it would feel like Walking On Air wearing them 🥰
Thanks, yo! They're certainly light enough to give that vibe.
I feel like if the soles held out okay, these could be a really good alternative to the Primus Lite Knit. I would love to have a pair for daily use. Living in Alaska has given me an appreciation for protecting nature. These shoes are a good step in that direction. #lonoflow
The extra nibs might wear faster, but being 2mm thicker, the durability should be fairly comparable to the Lite's.
@@AndrewFolts I was thinking that the extra thickness might be to compensate for it being biodegradable. Makes sense
best looks, comfy, biodegradable, best price what else can i ask for
I know, right? Maybe some jet packs on the side, ha?
@@AndrewFolts what are jetpacks??
@@adithyananil6892 Joking, like astronaut jetpacks, ha.
Something new! Amazing
Yea, it's not often I get really impressed by a startup barefoot company. Props to Lono!
Amazing and comfy and lightweight! Would be proud to wear one!
Get some.
The Lono Some's, available now.
It'd be a sick birthday gift 😆, never had a barefoot trainers before, so I would enjoy the #lonoflow.
BF shoes are always a nice self birthday gift, yea. (:
I already have vivobarefoot primus lite but I have worn them a lot, and in May I'm going to start doing HEMA, I'd like to try them #lonoflow
Is that martial arts? If so, yea, they seem like they be nice and agile for that.
@@AndrewFolts exactly
Love the aesthetic. It looks great and good on the environment #lonoflow
Yea, ethical and aesthetical, ha!
What colourways are those?
Grey. bit.ly/4c3mrfO
@@AndrewFolts thanks a lot
Would love to try these against some
Vivos, I did a size 45 😂
Cool, which ones did you try?
I got a set of primus trail fg2, and I tried on a set of primus knit 3 which I found very comfortable
#lonoflow looks like the ideal pair for in-door training, as well as some outdoor activities!
I would use them in the gym first, to bring more barefoot feeling there!
For sure, they could call them the Lono "In/Out," ha!
I recently fully switched to barefoot shoes (thanks in large part to your videos!), and am looking for a pair to start running - these look perfect! Also love that they're compostable! #lonoflow
They'd be a great first pair for running, yea. Congrats on making the leap to barefoot shoes, yo!
@@AndrewFolts Thanks!
These would be perfect for my daily driver. Run, sprint, shop and just life. ❤ #lonoflow
Ha, they could call it the Lono Everything, to be honest. (:
#lonoflow would be a really solid pair of casual shoes for downtown or for work in black. Ty
Nice! They're def simple enough to work for work.
If these last longer than 3 years, do they start to degrade on your feet!?
Nope, just in "landfill conditions." Requires continual heat and other materials breaking down to start the biodegrading process.
I have been searching to find a shoe I can run in during the colder months that feels anything close to the freedom that sandals provide. With the lono flow I could have the flexibility and groundfeel without my toes freeze off!
#lonoflow
Yea, I found the slight padding to be great for some insulation in colder weather. Good luck!
My vibram five fingers’ soles just started to peel, winning these would be amazing for my student budget 😅
Nice! You can also try a little Shoe Glue amzn.to/46ZabLg in the meantime, which helps add more life.
Always on the lookout for athletic barefoot shoes. Would like them to replace my workout shoes #lonoflow.
Def a good pick. Wishing you luck!
Strange color but I like it?
Yea, it's interesting, there aren't too many shoes this shade.
How convenient! Currently looking to buy another pair of barefoot shoes and really struggling with making a choice. This is one of the ones I’m considering. Regardless whether I win or not, thank you very much for this! :) #lonoflow
Right on! What other shoes are you thinking about?
Gotta get that checked off and then get back down to earth and look at more brands lol
And I’m also unsure about, with the motus as an example, how much the intended purpose of the shoe is an issue for me.
I would love to try these. I have been looking for a new good road shoe to try. #lonoflow
They're def the new kid on the block, ha.
I'd love a pair to go trail running in the forest - such cool shoes!#LonoFlow
They do work nicely for light trail runs, as long as it's not too steep or muddy.
These shoes look very nice - could become a go to shoe for dressing up a bit from the five-fingers I'm currently using. #lonoflow
Maybe they'll do a knit toe shoe collab, ha! "Vibram FlowFingers"
they look nice
Most def!
Diverse use, durable and environmentally friendly, all you need from a barefoot shoe.
Yea, not much else a barefooter could ask for!
i would like them to correct my foot alignement
#lonoflow
That's a great goal, good luck!
#lonoflow Love your review of these shoes. They not only look awesome but are everything a great barefoot shoe should be just like you stated in your video. Thank you Andrew!
They really do check the boxes, yea. Good luck, Michael!
@@AndrewFolts thank you!
Look like they'd be great for some runs in the woods and fields where I live #lonoflow
For light trail running they've been great, yea. Just as long as the terrain isn't too steep or muddy.
I like the tan color of these and the price. #lonoflow
Goes with everything, especially a wallet, ha.
Would love a biodegradeable shoe to replace my Primus Lites! #lonoflow
A worthy successor, both excellent shoes!
Definitely a shoe to try, zero, minimalist, durable, bio.
Yea, puts up some stiff competition for sure. Or "flexible" competition in this case, ha.
these would go awesome as a daily driver for both work and play #lonoflow
Totally! The small amount of padding is kind of nice for driving.
#lonoflow
I've wanted a barefoot shoe for a long time and from this review, it seems like this would fit all of my needs. Hoping for the best!
Yea, there's not much it can't do. Good luck!
This would be a great first barefoot shoe coming from me who has only worn slippers for years and would want to wear something that does not squish my toes when I wear shoes at the gym‼️♥️♥️ #lonoflow
They're kind of like a half slipper half trainer with the knit upper, ha!
@@AndrewFolts Thanks! exactly what I need 😁
