They can legally cut her clothes off if she doesn’t comply, same with wards if the person is destructive enough. And it’s exactly what you’d think. They take big scissors and cut your clothes off (usually/should be same sex guard). Then they’d probably forcibly dress her or wrap her in something if she doesn’t comply and then she’d probably be forced into the clothes or held until she put them on in a different area. Obviously it’s a little gentler at a ward (depends on your place, I’ve had both); but they aren’t gentle at jail, I know that. You do what they say, you are a criminal, you aren’t a patient.

When i went to jail (probation violation) they didn't wash my street cloths. All my property went in ziplock bags which were then put in a bigger bag and that's exactly how they were when i got them back.

Medical staff it's more so if you're in a car accident they're not gonna be responsible for your $900 Gucci T-shirt when they shred it to get to your abdomen where there's a piece of rebar hanging out.
