Album has grown on me over the years. Sounds Of A Playground Fading is one of my favorite albums so Siren Charms was a weird detour at first, but I love how adventurous and experimental it is. The songwriting is still strong on this album. More simple and more catchy, but super creative

in my case,, i needed to listen to "Battles" sometimes to assimilate/appreciate it more. On the other hand, "Sirens Charms" and "Sounds Of A Playground Fading" are albums I loved since the first time listening to them. I like how catchy and adventurous they are.
I discovered In Flames through their collaboration with Pendulum shortly after Siren Charms came out and was always fond of it despite the numerous critics. Both the old in flames and the new resonated with me in different ways. Great album.

In flames is my all time favorite band by far. I didn't like this album when it came out, but the more you listen to it, the better it gets no doubt. I like to think of this album as "laid back and more relaxed" it's unique and good. Interesting album to have in their discography. IFWT!
I wanna add I'm listening to it ATM I wanna say this album represents in flames best come clarity is still great but this album is that melodic technically clean rythmatic metal my personal opinion we as the whole metal community missed thanks for a listing addiction will be played a lot by me
The thing with IF, they got so many different eras / periods of their music and all of them are great. I love all their albums except Lunar Strain (it has one awesome song and that's the instrumental "Dreamscape") and also Subterrenean. (I am sorry die hard IF fans, not a fan of those two mostly because of the vocals)

Sadly IF went downhill after ASOP, it's hard to believe that it's the same band who released albums like the jester race, whoracle, colony etc... They are still one of my all time fav bands tho

I have never been a fan of their alternative metal sound. I am from their prime era of Whoracle, Colony, and Clayman.. as well as The Jester Race, of course. I'm part of the fan group that sees Foregone as a glimmer of hope for the band returning to a more classic form. From this album, Everything's Gone has grown on me some, but i still am not much of a fan of Siren Charms, Battles or I, Mask. Actually that isn't entirely true. Those 3 are the worst of the lot, but Reroute to Remain started to lose me, though i liked some of it. Soundtrack to your Escape lost me for sure and nothing until Foregone has warranted much of my attention.
And still Forgone is not a good album. A lot of the songs starts good. It sounds a lot like jesters race and after one minute the songs shift and sounds a lot like this album.
I like and have all their early albums, but then they decided to start pandering to American metal scene - now I can't finish listening to any of their later releases. 😢
@@ProleDaddy they started to incorporate elements of metalcore and rap as is popular in USA, which I personally can't stand. Addition of whiney vocals didn't help either.
In Flames left their native genre for what? As for me, the music is absolutely nondescript. It is no different from its contemporaries. And where did that voice go? In general, In Flames died from this album. Anyone who wants to argue with me, listen to the first 5 albums first.
Quel dommage, j'aime beaucoup ce groupe, mais l'enregistrement est une catastrophe. comme les anciens album, aucune puissance, la compression est très mal gérer. tout comme le mastering qui écrase la dynamique. quelle tristesse. exemple de bonne enregistrement métal, le dernier TOOL , ou Volbeat servant of mind. 2 style d'enregistrements qui conservent la puissance. vraiment c'est triste.
Not so memorable album for me. Even thinking is bad in comparison with other In Flames albums. Recommendation for the listeners: Rise To Fall Not at all
