The Atlanta Writers Club (www.AtlantaWritersClub.org) was founded in 1914 and teaches the craft and business of writing, supports the local literary community, and encourages more reading by the public. AWC hosts monthly educational meetings and periodic workshops, the Atlanta Writers Conference (www.AtlantaWritersConference.com) twice each year, the annual Atlanta Self-Publishing Conference (www.AtlantaSelfPublishingConference.com), the biennial Townsend Prize for Fiction in collaboration with the Georgia Writers Museum, and more.
