You talk a lot about the WR's but never mention Jordan James once. Even if they can stifle the pass it'll only open up the running lanes for James to steamroll his way downfield. That dude always runs angry so you've got to load some big boys into the box to slow him down and as soon as you pull up to stop the run Gabriel hits Tez on the slant or curl route, T-Ferg on a shovel pass, or Traeshon or Stewart downfield. That's the problem with trying to stop Oregon's offense, it's just too balanced. And on defense did you forget the LB crew we've got? You think Bassa and Boettcher won't be capable of locking down Warren never mind our monstrous D-line? And without Warren the Penn St. offense just kinda crumbles. Oregon just has too much talent and versatility on both sides of the ball.
@@balleraap007 In week 3. We did it on the road against a team coming off a bye in our 8th straight game and without our best player on both sides of the ball. Literally no one else had that long of a stretch without a bye and what did we do after? Absolutely eviscerate Washington. What did Alabama do after their "game" a.k.a. SEC free bye week against Mercer? Oh, that's right, they got blown out 24-3 vs. an Oklahoma team that's only even bowl eligible because of said blowout lmfao
All I hear is about how great PSU’s D Line is. I watched Ohio State run right over them and drain like 7 minutes off the clock to win the game. Oregon’s D Line looks way more dangerous across the board.
If Oregon’s offense and special teams don’t turn the ball over…this game won’t be close! Oregon WILL put up points…I can’t see Penn St scoring more than 13 on our defense without a lot of help from Oregon mistakes. Any given Saturday always….so I NEVER risk my money or count chickens before they hatch. I like the Ducks in this matchup 9 outta 10 times at least.
PSU fan but like Oregon....since the Chip days. If, and a big if... the PSU O line can hold up ok (minus our top run blocker OT - Donkoh) we should be able to be competitive. Also is Tez 100%? If he is, I don't like our chances. 2 really great teams. PSU is a second half team, so even down 10 can come back. This is a major difference from last year. Andy K will pull out all the stops. PSU D is better than Oregon (slightly) and Oregon O is better by a bigger margin than the PSU O. I honestly think whoever gets the most turnovers wins. They are definitely on par talent wise and depth. PSU doesn't get blown out by anybody and was 2 yards from being up on Ohio State with 5 minutes to go. Hopefully the refs will stay out of it. They have been putrid in almost every game. We even benefited from a few calls that were terrible this year.
Yes, Tez is 100%. Burch is also back to 100% on the edge. Only major injury for Oregon is right guard, Marcus harper. He hasn’t played since the second to last drive against Michigan.
Even if he isn't 100% which I believe he is, Tez's mere presence disrupts defenses because you need to account for him at all times. And if that is through zone, you'll get picked apart. If it's through man and you need to double team him, it opens up someone else. Honestly your best strategy is holding us to dinking and dunking and hoping that we either fizzle out, or in the red zone Dillon might make an errant throw you pick which has happened a few times (though usually when we face lesser teams he thinks he can get away with it against).
Its laughable that People think PSU will get blown out. Its one thing if they lose but its wild to say that. Vegas and alot of power rankings have this game as a pick em. To those that think it will be a blowout. If PSU wins or oregon sneaks out a close W whats the play here ? PSU overrated or Oregon? PSU doesmt lose cause of talent. Its coaching. Duck fans are gonna find out Quick PSU isnt a push over.
Here’s the whole thing on coaching. You have to understand there’s a mental block with Franklin vs osu. Very similar to day vs Michigan. It is not an issue against other teams.
@@Ty-ml7ze this is what I'm hoping. They are playing with house money, against a team not named Ohio State or Michigan. If the coaches let our offense play, this is gonna be a banger. I'm not sure if Oregon being lackluster in the second half has to do with them just being so ahead usually going back to the locker room...I'm sure it's a factor...but either way..this to say: if Penn State is within 4 going into the half, I think they're winning this game
For Penn State to win, I think Abdul Carter and Dani Dennis Sutton are going to need to play out of their mind. I don’t see Oregon hanging 32 on us like they did OSU
Yep. -3.6 feels a little low to me. Sure, Penn State is a good team that could win a big game... but it feels like there's still some Oregon disrespect at play. The ducks ceiling is definitely higher.
Oregon had a buy 2 weeks ago and is coming off a dominant win with 10 sacks and 17 TFLs! all while giving up no TFLs to the Huskeys. Oregon is going to be out there to prove a point, that there is no question about who the Big10 champ is. Ducks 28-17. BTW, Oregon is going to have the #1 or #2 recruiting class this year.
PSU is in the driver seat, they are the underdog coming in and they will control the pace of the game. Not to mention State is a second half team, they wear you down. I don’t see a blowout either way but I can see Penn State edging out the win.
I am fan of both teams and have been for years. So I am heartbroken here to pick. Oregon’s a great team and probably will win this game but Penn st will play their hearts out. Either way us fans are in a win win situation here as this is one of the best games this year. Both teams are never taken seriously. Yeah Oregon beat Ohio, in a weird way but Penn st lost a game they should have won agains the buck eyes and they came back in the next game with a vengeance. Just hope this is not decided by a bad ref call(or no call)
You're looking at past games as Oregon played eight straight BIG10 Games and Wisconsin was a fluke with the score. Seeing what you should be seeing in the Washington Game with Offensive output and the performance of the Defensive Line. Penn State is good and challenged OSU in their loss. But dude if the men in the trenches show up it will be the Ducks prevailing in the end. And that's a fact!
penn state is 1-23 against top 5 teams since 2000. the ducks are 10-50-1 all time against top 5 teams but penn state has a better record overall at 17-54-1 from what i researched. but it really is any given game. GO DUCKS!!!
@@marquisedavis2344 If PSU wins, and Georgia beats Texas, PSU will be #1. Georgia will not jump to 1 with 2 losses, and Notre Dame is not jumping to #1 with no conference championship and a loss to NIU.
@@sdtristenschneiderI’m also talking about seeding, not ranking. In that iffy scenario we would be #1 ranked in a week. ND cannot get a #1 no matter what because they are independent. The best they can do is a #5 seed and host a playoff game. My hope is that if we lose, we keep the #5 seed and play the #12 seed instead of ND being the #5 seed over us.
@@marquisedavis2344 The committee said they wouldn't penalize a team for playing and losing in a conference championship, if Penn State loses we'll see if they really meant it.
If oregons genuine season goal is winning the natty and they are serious about it, can anyone give me a good reason beyond the “any given Saturday” argument that no wins are guaranteed and that Oregon wants to establish themselves as a top dog in the Big10 as to why Oregon should not deliberately try to lose a close game in the Big10 championship? As it stands, if they win the Big Ten championship game, they will be the 1 seed and either have to beat Ohio State or Tennessee at a neutral site to make the semifinals. Comparatively, if they deliberately lost the Big Ten championship in a close game, they would get the 5 seed and be all but guaranteed a semifinal game spot with Arizona st and Boise St being their only opponents.
I think the morale hit to the players from being seen to deliberately lose would be catastrophic. Not worth it for a slight statistical advantage in the playoff.
As a huge fan on James Franklin, I have been aware that he plays the better teams differently and obviously not for the better. He doesn’t let his players play to win and instead tries to manage the game not to lose or get embarrassed. After the OSU game, the calls to fire Franklin were the loudest he ever heard. His style of coaching changed albeit against inferior opponents. Win or lose if he lets his players play, I’ll be just fine with the outcome. If he reverts to his old big game self, I’ll be convinced his time has passed. I think he felt the possibility of unemployment after OSU at home. I think he’s going to come out swinging for 60 minutes.
Gabriel has to make smart decisions and not play anything like he did against the mediocre Badgers. Penn State is dangerous and they are capable of pulling off the upset. This will be a dog fight. Traveling 3 time zones for Oregon isn't going to help.
@@larryizpr0Oregon was playing their 8th straight game without a bye week. All I’m saying is that there is a reason Oregon is undefeated and Penn State is not. Go Ducks 🦆
So if we beat Penn St. why is it Oregon has to play possibly Ohio. How come don’t get to play a non big 12 team. You know why cause nobody wants to play Ohio if they win, so they drop Ohio on Oregon. I see what’s going on, we are not stupid.
The ducks are on 🔥. if you dont believe look up Ducks vs them latest vid here on youtube & you will see for yourself , oregon is going to crush penn state & it will be way more than by 3 points
Oregon fan, part of me obviously wants that big ten championship in our first year but another part of me understands that if we lose we would honestly be in a better (and easier) position to go to the national championship game.
Just wanted to come back and give you props. You completely predicted they would go 12-0 and people called you crazy. Real Oregon fans knew it was possible
31 points? It is not likely. The key is Penn State getting first downs. The Offensive line is banged up and will need to show up big time. Oregon likes to be the bully and that won't happen and in fact will ignite Penn State's offense. Penn State 27-23.
How can you possibly call yourself an analyst when you don’t even mention Oregons defense?!? This game boils down to one thing: Oregons defense will eviscerate Penn State’s offense.
"Oregon hasnt seen *Insert lineman or teams line here* before" Ducks have heard that all offseason about joining the B1G and they go undefeated - its tired
I seem to remember them winning a bowl game that year as well... now, who was that against? (Not to mention being robbed of a national championship after going undefeated.)
Oregon had 10 sacks against Washington without blitzing against a very mobile QB, that defensive line is a problem. Their pass rush isn't one player, there are 4 that are legit threats every down.
Penn State's pass rush isn't one player either, it's just that one player is an absolute monster. Very likely the best defensive player in the country.
You guys did see those 16 TFLs and 10 sacks that Oregon's defense got the other night right? I understand Penn St is way better than Washington in the trenches... but still...wow.
Duck fan here: Absolutely love your stats here!!.. Also, Love Penn St and the passion of their fans! On paper, this is a very evenly matched game.. My prediction is at the end of this overview. This game will be competitive in its beginning.
PENN STATE: I expect Penn St to have some success in the run game early (Oregon usually catches up and figures teams out by the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and will eventually shut down the run game). I also expect Penn St to pass often past Oregon’s secondary (there are some vulnerabilities there), this will be their best way to take down Oregon - and Penn St’s passing average is better than Oregon’s. Drew Allar: 207 passing completions @ 71% _Rank #37 (not bad) this means he relies on his long pass. Penn state does well defending against 6 game winning teams but struggles creating a point spread against opponents with 7 game wins and over.. [1 win and 1 loss against ranked teams] Penn St = 362 total tackles and 32 sacks for the season (Average 19.25 pt spreads on away games). Penn St’s defense is among the best, I’m not convinced they will be able to overcome the best Offensive line in the country and hence not stop the Oregon offense as the game carries into the second half. OREGON: I expect Oregon come out running the ball - and testing the defense’s discipline - they will test Penn with the war of attrition.. this is the Oregon way (no huddle, hurry up and uptempo offense) Oregon = 665 total tackles and 39 sacks for the season-[10 sacks came in the last game]. (Average away win spread = 23 pts). [3 wins against ranked opponents]. However, Tez Johnson (WR) is back .. But we now we now have a healthy Jordan Burch (DE), Terrence Ferguson (TE) as well as Tez - back and rested - they showed their style of truth against Washington. I don’t expect Jordan James not to be looking to crack someone in the mouth.. As long as Dillon Gabriel stays steady and rides the atmosphere - Oregon should win ‘handily’. Dillon Gabriel: 275 passing completions at 73.5%_Rank #10 (best completion % in the country) due to his vision/confidence. Let's not forget (easily dismissed by most commentators) - Oregon's Offensive line is top notch and Penn st needs to get to Dillon to be effective - This will not be as easy as Penn St thinks! CONCLUSION: Oregon's Dan Lanning will win the psychological war here and out coach Penn's coaches - He will be ready! Oregon’s ‘consistent’ defense has been phenomenal and will be the game changer.. Oregon’s defense will come after QB Drew Allar often and with ill intent to win this game - very likely leaving Penn St’s Drew Allar too shaken to be pertinent. Also, Penn St probably will not be able to stop the Oregon run game, and if left unchallenged - Oregon’s offense will run up the score. 16-38 Oregon
Uh, my guy, have you been watching our games? The secondary is not a vulnerability, quite the opposite. It helps us get a lot of pressure and sacks. That's arguably as good if not better than our defensive line.
@@kyletucker3811 I can't take away that they are very good, the however is that they have the tendency to allow the downfield ball.. its a no no... No matter, as long as our D-Line rattles Penn QB - they won't win that battle..
You really didn’t say much about Oregons dominate Defense which will be the main reason why Penn State will have problems scoring. This is Oregons most dominant DL ever in school history, coming off a game with 10 sacks and 16 TFL, the Defense that you had really nothing to say about will again be the reason why Penn State will be held to only two scores.
90% of the money was placed with Oregon, and the line has not changed. Still holding at 3.5. What does that tell us? Look for a close game by 1 or 2 points as Penn State either wins outright or barely gets beat by the Ducks. More than likely, this game will most likel y go under the stated total
PSU Alum here and every year before this one I've thought Oregon has been overrated and underperformed and it's played out that way because the Pac-12 wasn't deep. Unfortunately, I think they actually have the juice this year and of course it's their first year in the B1G. Knight and NIL is the difference this year, but that's the world we're in now. I hope my Lions catch them slipping and if not, I hope for a rematch in the Rose Bowl to get us to the semis. Either way, I'm very entertained and excited. Oregon has good fans. Let's go State! We are!
penn state wins this game or loses on a last second TD or FG. Oregon isn’t good away from home and Tyler Warren is going to shred that defense alive. He needs to be invited to New York and after this game he will def be in the conversation everywhere
Isn’t good away from home?? Haha what are you talking about? @oregon state (dominate) @ucla (dominate) @purdue (dominate) @michigan (dominate) Only game they played bad on the road was Wisconsin and get they still won
I thought it. I said on your videos after the Oregon / Ohio State game that everyone is assuming Ohio State vs Oregon rematch and they’re overlooking Nebraska, Penn State, Indiana, and Michigan. Almost lose to Nebraska Almost lose to Penn State Beat Indiana lose to Michigan Ohio State is not a championship team. Talent means nothing if you’ve got a team of individuals who care about themselves more than the team. They should be 9-3, maybe 9-4 and not even in the playoffs. They’re lucky to be 10-2.
The problem with all these comparisons of Oregon and PSU being statistically similar is cute to me. PSU lost their only game against actual competition, everyone else was fodder on their schedule. Oregon, meanwhile, has 3 top 25 wins including OSU and dominating in The Big House against a very good Michigan defensive front. Oregon wins the eye test by a large margin. Also, since the loss to Oregon, OSU hasn't been the same... They lost some edge and have had numerous injuries, especially the OL. So PSU hanging in there with them is also a little inflated. Now PSU still has a chance if Oregon just doesn't show up .. but if Oregon shows up in any meaningful way, PSU just flat out loses... They can't stack up
@MrPanther1986 They are power ranked 18th for a reason. They're a good team that's only lost in one-score game except for a mistake-prone two-score loss to Notre Dame. Four of their six losses are on the road and three of them were over multiple time zones. They're a good team with bad luck and an inability to close out games.
All the Oregon fans act like they beat up Ohio State when they had a pull out tricks and all types of gimmicky crap to beat them Oregon and Penn State are pretty evenly matched.
Because there was no head to head and no difference against common opponents I believe it came down to the win-loss record in conference play of their conference opponents. In other words, Penn State had a tougher schedule in conference play. (Also, it's Penn State. Penn is a different school.)
Please blitz every play and man up outside PSU! If thats the game plan Oregon is going to hang 40+ 0 chance you are covering tez and stew on the outside in man. Read the safety and let it rip.
Oregon is going for way more than a B10 title run. The B10 title game is just in the way of the natty run.

@ Its simple. Dan Lanning
Lanning is a very good coach, but I haven't seen him throw, run or catch a td this season 🤔? WE ARE, going to be a fantastic game, but my Nittany Lions will win on a game winning field goal 27-24!!!! WE ARE
@@kevinchandler179 Awww….you again?!…..I think you would be best served to not underestimate the ability, skills, and tenacity of this Oregon Dux team….FEBU…🦆🔥🦆🔥🦆🔥🦆🔥
Y’all barely beat Wisconsin bama beat them by 28 lmfao
@@balleraap007 In week 3. We did it on the road against a team coming off a bye in our 8th straight game and without our best player on both sides of the ball. Literally no one else had that long of a stretch without a bye and what did we do after? Absolutely eviscerate Washington.
What did Alabama do after their "game" a.k.a. SEC free bye week against Mercer? Oh, that's right, they got blown out 24-3 vs. an Oklahoma team that's only even bowl eligible because of said blowout lmfao
@ In WEeK 3 hahah Oregon loses 4 games in sec
Love that this matchup is in Indy and won’t be overcrowded with tOSU or IU fans
Oregon's going to win sorry to bust Penn state's bubble
Nope I got Penn 98 Oregon 0
All I hear is about how great PSU’s D Line is. I watched Ohio State run right over them and drain like 7 minutes off the clock to win the game.
Oregon’s D Line looks way more dangerous across the board.
That video was a 85% of how Penn state can beat Oregon and 15% of how Oregon can prevent a melt down 😂
If Oregon’s offense and special teams don’t turn the ball over…this game won’t be close!
Love the Paul Rudd Hot Ones reference
I don't believe for one second Penn State D is better than Oregon. Not for one single second. Eye test tell me everything I need to know.
OREGON: 47....PENN STATE: 28
Lmao 47 points aint happening
you need to make your own podcast and i would listen to it 25/8
At the start of the season everyone should be 0, no ranking. Week 5 should be the first rankings, then every week after.
I think Oregon wins but I don’t think it will be a blow out.
Oregon is better..plain and simple..that being said, bet its a Duck win by 7 or less 🟡🟢
It’s laughable you let those select few fake fans make you emotional enough to call them out

For Penn State to win, I think Abdul Carter and Dani Dennis Sutton are going to need to play out of their mind. I don’t see Oregon hanging 32 on us like they did OSU
I'm a PSU and i just dont see this game being all that close. Oregon feels like the significantly better team.
I think this will be a close game . Penn State is a very talented , disciplined team . Coming from a Duck fan
Go back and please watch the Oregon Ohio state game and see how many points they left on the field. 17

I got Oregon 27 to 20 winning this gonna be great game they may have to score last drive.
Yep. -3.6 feels a little low to me. Sure, Penn State is a good team that could win a big game... but it feels like there's still some Oregon disrespect at play. The ducks ceiling is definitely higher.
The ducks disrespect is high... Oh well. win em all and there isnt much left to say.

The fact that people just assume carter is going to go crazy is wild. Oregon might have the best LT in the Big10....
i've been tuning into this channel for a long time. But i still don't understand the milk carton wearing a sailor cap mascot. Somebody help me out.
Hopefully a good game…👊🏻🏈
I love predictions there usually wrong.
Penn barely played anybody… GO DUCKS!
GO DUCKS!!!
If Penn State wins, they should get the #1 seed.
They'll get a bye, but #2 seed at best, but I agree given they would have beaten #1 and the 1 loss they had came by a TD to #2.
Penn state no pushover
Most people know that. It will be a tough mouth smashing game and, it is up for grabs...(duck fan here )
😅😅😅 guess you missed it when they they played Ohio state.
@@YoshiYosheda Big 10 and a bye. Healthy playing, if your QB gets sacked and injured? You just never know.
There were a lot of factors that benefitted Wisconsin in that game against Oregon
And if Penn State plays like they did against Bowling Green, UCLA, Ohio State, and/or Minnesota, they will get utterly destroyed by Oregon.
@@jstrig Penn state beat them with their backups in the second half. They lost QB and multiple starters. Oregon had their Starting Qb

Can't freaking wait, let's go Ducks.
Nah. Having less games is better for football. Less chance of injury. Less fatigue.
Just wanted to come back and give you props. You completely predicted they would go 12-0 and people called you crazy. Real Oregon fans knew it was possible

34-20 Oregon!
I'm watching this just as 24/7 Sports is breaking news 30 minutes ago that 5-Star CB Na'eem Offord flips to Oregon. The Quack Attack is coming!!
31 points? It is not likely. The key is Penn State getting first downs. The Offensive line is banged up and will need to show up big time. Oregon likes to be the bully and that won't happen and in fact will ignite Penn State's offense. Penn State 27-23.
I don’t see any way Oregon loses this game.
Idk if penn state is good or bad because they lose off coaching 😂
How can you possibly call yourself an analyst when you don’t even mention Oregons defense?!? This game boils down to one thing: Oregons defense will eviscerate Penn State’s offense.
"Oregon hasnt seen *Insert lineman or teams line here* before" Ducks have heard that all offseason about joining the B1G and they go undefeated - its tired
If I remember correctly, PSU won the B10 championship their first year.
I seem to remember them winning a bowl game that year as well... now, who was that against?
(Not to mention being robbed of a national championship after going undefeated.)
@@brucetucker4847 I believe it was, yup, Oregon. It was a great back and forth game. You can find it on TH-cam
The missed story is oregons defense they’re going to give Drew Allar problems that front healthy is a problem
Didnt Michigan have a hood defensive front?..... What did Gabriel and our run game do? I have absolute faith in Lanning and his coaching staff.
You guys did see those 16 TFLs and 10 sacks that Oregon's defense got the other night right? I understand Penn St is way better than Washington in the trenches... but still...wow.
How do they figure in a 1/2 of a Point ? 🤔
[1 win and 1 loss against ranked teams]
Penn St = 362 total tackles and 32 sacks for the season (Average 19.25 pt spreads on away games). Penn St’s defense is among the best, I’m not convinced they will be able to overcome the best Offensive line in the country and hence not stop the Oregon offense as the game carries into the second half.
OREGON: I expect Oregon come out running the ball - and testing the defense’s discipline - they will test Penn with the war of attrition.. this is the Oregon way (no huddle, hurry up and uptempo offense)
Oregon = 665 total tackles and 39 sacks for the season-[10 sacks came in the last game].
PSU fan here. I do agree with one thing. The coaching match up will be won by Oregon. Franklin's game management IQ resembles a potato.
PSU has never in its history seen a team of such caliber before. The Lions will be left in awe, as were the Badgers, Vandals, and Broncos.
Penn State aint giving up 38
You really didn’t say much about Oregons dominate Defense which will be the main reason why Penn State will have problems scoring.
More than likely, this game will most likel

I thought it. I said on your videos after the Oregon / Ohio State game that everyone is assuming Ohio State vs Oregon rematch and they’re overlooking Nebraska, Penn State, Indiana, and Michigan.
Almost lose to Nebraska
Almost lose to Penn State
Beat Indiana
lose to Michigan
Ohio State is not a championship team.
They can't stack up
you barely beat Boise
USC played Penn State well
Every team has games that shouldn't have been so close or even a loss. Look at Vandy beating 'Bama, and many many more examples.

@cadeezra315 I get it but it's still USC and they suck
@MrPanther1986 They are power ranked 18th for a reason. They're a good team that's only lost in one-score game except for a mistake-prone two-score loss to Notre Dame. Four of their six losses are on the road and three of them were over multiple time zones. They're a good team with bad luck and an inability to close out games.

Penn state loss means psu have asu and Boise st playoff to champ game
question why Penn and not Indiana ??? thanks
Because there was no head to head and no difference against common opponents I believe it came down to the win-loss record in conference play of their conference opponents. In other words, Penn State had a tougher schedule in conference play.
