For such an unusual design method to fabricate, it turned out really really nice. I would never have thought to do it this way. The triangles on the sides with the textured plate beneath combined with the oxidized surfaces, make it look like marcasite studding. The prong setting looks really easy to set, allowed lots of light to the stone, and didn't look too hard to put together.
