    If you’re in a hurry to warm up a bag of soil from outside, you can use warm water when you rehydrate it. Should speed up the process if you’re in a pinch 😉
    My seedlings aren’t quite ready to pot on, but I’m getting itchy to get started 😁 thanks for the vid👍

They seem to be doing ok so thank you for the tips on everything and the education on plants. The garlic is doing ok also, again thanks for the encouragement. Maggie

    When starting tomato and pepper in larger cup to bypass transplanting, do you use potting mix? If so, any issues with germination vs a seed starting mix? Thanks so much, Jeff, for your great info. It is giving this relatively new gardener all kinds of confidence. 12:37

    • @TheRipeTomatoFarms
      @TheRipeTomatoFarms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question Steve. I go with a potting mix, but make sure its quite light. Even mixing in some seeding mix won't hurt.

    Jeff I have onions growing under lights and they're about 10 inches tall. Chicago Zone 5 and we still have 20's and light snow for the next several days. The soil is workable. Can I move them out? No row covers. Thank You as always.

    Do you have experience on dosing sphagnum moss to adjust PH down? I would really appreciate insights, for instance if you measure by weight or by volume, and if adding too much can cause water clogging issues?

    Coconut fibre?
    Where does one get that?
    In the event it's grid down, and we revert back to a more localised lifestyle is there a way to make this coconut fibre?
    Am thinking from a complete self sufficiency angle (as close as) if the supermarkets/garden centres ever run out of stock(supply chain issues etc)
