    Good list! That new Polygon Siskiu T6 is pretty tempting and does seem like a great deal. An entry level bike you could really grow with

    Don't get a budget full suspension, start on a hardtail and upgrade to a better full suspension down the road.

      @sergeantbear that's the route I went when I started. In hindsight, I kinda wish I would have just gotten the nice full suspension to start, but that's risky if mountain biking isn't something you are sure you're going to love. But I'd say getting a hardtail to start is smart for most ppl.

      @@TysRides Yeah, feel like a full susp is a bit overkill for the beginner trails you'd start on. And budget full susp bikes usually have issues

      I think it depends on what you are going to do on it. If your going to huck to flat or do drops and gaps at a hardcore downhill bike park a hard tail might be a poor choice . Not that you couldn’t according to your skill level it’s just most regular people and weekend warriors don’t . I have a cheap full sus 4 years now and love it. Also depends on age and physical capabilities I’m over 50 and made the switch to full sus in 95 and wil never go back because I think it would be counterproductive technologically speaking it’s just a pivot moving a small distance in mm or inches. But with a good shock it works for me.

      I have been riding my hardtrail for 4 years and its pretty cooked. Im planning to buy a full suspension bike from decathlon because i can get one for 660€. Rn im trying to collect the money.

    IF YOUR'E IN EUROPE then you can most likely get a full suspension bike from decathlon because they have them from 660 and up. Thats about 729usd. I think you can order the bikes online and they have a good return policy

    It's all relative but if you're starting on a budget consider getting the most sophisticated frame and suspension everything else is cheaper to upgrade and will be cheaper componentry all around anyway, I bought a Giant trance x 29 for 3k and pretty much everything on the bike is sh*t... Don't pay too much attention to drivetrain and shiny bits you'll want to upgrade it all anyway...

    Polygon offers the D6 too at a little better price than the d7. if u are the kind of rider who like upgrades i think is a really good choice.
    I have both. D6 for my wife and d7 for me with a lot of upgrades and i love the geometry. Really good bikes
    Thank you for your content and its a really good research and advice. Thank you

    My Marin Hawk Hill came with 2.4's but was switched to 2.8's. Grip for days and so fun. Could do without the dropper as that's not needed lol

    Can you upgrade the rear suspension shock to something better?

    • @TysRides
      @TysRides  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @bladerunner8832 Absolutely. As long as the bolt holes where the shock attaches are the same measurements.
