    @Zerpersande ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m a new ie to slingshots but I have a degree in chemistry and worked in the materials testing industry. That said…
    If the belts are ‘getting hard’ it might be that you are wrapping the belts to the point that you are exceeding the limit limit of the material. And looking at the way you wrap that stuff, it looks very likely that this is the case. Now maybe it has to be the case with that material in order to handle the stresses on the ‘joint’. But you might want to back off to where you are leaving some stretch in the wrap material.

      @kenmcf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am kind of a newbie although I shot a lot as a kid...might I ask..do you prefer smaller or larger pouches? I can shoot with both but its so much easier to put the ammo into a larger pouch...any other considerations other than weight? I kinda match the band to the pouch...small pouches with lite and thinner bands, bigger pouches with thicker and heavier bands.

    Hey man, im so frustrated, that i even checked out in this vid, if i do the amber belt tie worng...
    My Bands always fail after around 100 shots. And when i say "bands" i mean my lower band at the inside around 1 inch in frost of the pouch. I didnt find enges or sharp parts at the fork. Usually they have always failed at the pouch (like they should)... i shoot the GZK Crazy power mini, also shoot it without the aiming sights, since i thoughts it comes from it.
    since its always the lower band, its not that my bands dont fit with the 8mm steel balls.
    Do u have any idea?
    shooting BsB yellow 0.6, GZK black and green 0.58 18-10-200 with a drawlenght of 95 cm
    its strange, i had a long breake, around 3 years, back then i used TBG with another slingshot and never had those problems

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The one thing I would check is that you didn't max out the bands. The bottom one breaking all the time could be your draw. For me it is always the top that goes first. I had a similar problem once and it was because I was stretching my bands too much in the band tying jig. I was maxing them out and it was damaging my bands. I was lucky if I got 100 shots out of them. Then I stretched them less in the jig and it went away. Still I have the top band break first all the time but it is how I do my draw. It puts more stress on the top band until I am extended. This is why my band on top pops first. You should also check your roller cutter blade aswell
