That Patrick Ta highlighter looks like a straight up gel to me, sounds like a nightmare for oily skin. How did it hold up ?
They're gorgeous in the pan, but virtually no color payoff in either the powder or gel-cream.
I will never understand why people get a beautiful highlight look on the face the. Powder everything. It doesn’t show up underneath. It wipes the effect away.
I love these colours on your eyes they suit you so well! Also would be cool to see you try a Marilyn Monroe inspired look!
I fully do not understand why Patrick Ta decided to go with a completely different formula for the highlight duos. The blush duo formula is perfection.
The highlight cream is all coconut and castor oil. Literally a makeup remover.
And we are supposed to dab this over a dusty chunky glittery duochrome highlight, which is already so unflattering? The cream is a greasy oily gunky clumpy mess that never sets down and creases up around the eyes, removes concealer underneath, and mixes in with powders to coagulate into some sort of cosmetic gravy.
And on a hot day? Forget it. That cream will be melting down your cheeks like buttery tears.
The biggest flop of the year, thus far.
Thank you so much! You saved me from purchasing a bunch of the highlighter colors! It looked really gorg on the photos but seeing the consistency of the cream formula, it really made me rethink the whole decision

The eye makeup is mesmerizing! The red and green make you look like an anime hyper femme fatale in the best possible way. Monochromatic lips, hair, cheeks, and eyes is a major vibe.

19:43 That mascara is so pretty! Have you thought about using an eyelash primer to help maintain the lashes curled? Etude has a mascara primer called Dr. mascara fixer that I use with my Lancôme mascara and it helps maintain my lashes curled and not droop:)

I love the Clinique High Impact mascara, it’s tied for favorite with Clio Kill. The High Impact falls off in little chunks as the day wears on, so I mostly combine the two

I feel like we have very similar skin types and taste in makeup and i usually end up loving a lot of the stuff you recommend, i was really excited about the new elf foundation so hearing you dont like it is sad, I look forward to the updates on it! could you please try out the nyx buttermelt blushes and bronzers? id love to hear your thoughts on them

I'm actually really enjoying the Elf foundation. My favourite way to use it is to layer it on top of the Halo Glow.

Word of warning for my acne prone peeps: the creme in the Patrick Ta highlighters have coconut oil in them!
I have light neutral olive skin and am so stuck between the makeup by mario skin serum and the saie bronzer. Which one would be better suited for olive?

20C was more neutral leaning warm for me. I’m light olive and it was an almost perfect match for me. Elf always leans warm no matter what tone they say it is. They need to work on their shades.
So sad about the highlighters but this look is gorg! 💃🏻

I was super disappointed in the Elf foundation. IMO, the neutral tones are not neutral & it just didn't perform well on my dry skin, even with a healthy prep.
I would love to know if the CT stick breaks you out since I thought the flawless filter did.

You know your skin best…but heads up! The “light neautral” shade of the elf foundation is straight up peach. The undertones seem sooo intense with these. The “fair neautral” would have had me looking like a ghost. I kindof wonder if they were hoping people would buy multiple to mix. It is affordable but I never want to have to mix my own shade 🙂↔️
Highlighters and old lady skin are not a good pairing in my experience. Boy howdy is that Black Honey just GORGEOUS on you! I may have to try that mascara sometime.

In case anybody is still on the fence about the highlighters, don't. I went with the intention of purchasing in store. They are bad. I do enjoy my Danessa blushlighters though and Merit has nice sheer glossy cream highlights.
I love the Natasha Danona highlighter. It's not at all glittery.
Do you usually put your highlighter on before your blush?
It depends on the type of formulas I’m using or the look I’m after!
I wish they would return to the stiffer cream highlight formula, like I have a palette from made by mitchell and like on the body sure a greasy goopy finish is acceptable but on the face it feels terrible and Idk i have sensory issues about certain types of products so that greasy glossy formula is just a no go for me. The only person to get it right is danessa myricks cus her formula is more lightweight and almost glazing where as everyone else is making thick shiny paste

Love the look! With Patrick Ta highlight, I think the issue is that they're not meant for everyday wear. Patrick's products seem better for editorial photos or videos, not meant to last all day.
