Well therefore we use a no log vpn for when feds request a request to the vpn they won’t be able to show who we are because of their no logs policy.

If the victim dies, the charge is upgraded to a Federal Death penalty regardless if it was committed on any state that would bar the application of it. Tracking calls only gets the police so far. All 911 operators are capable of tracking any call they receive, though it can take a long time to extract that information so usually they just ask the caller for their location. The problem with swatters is that many encrypt their location, or use VPNs to trick police into a wild goose chase. It's extremely hard to track down these kinds of douchebags, that's why they took 5 months to catch that single guy.
My school actually got swatted last year, the entire district. Somebody called in and claimed an active shooter was in the building and we went into lockdown for TWO HOURS. Most people figured something was up and we weren't actually in danger, but some people were genuinely afraid and scared. Swatting is actually horrible, and it's terrible it's going to this platform too. Nobody deserves to get swatted. When I said nobody deserves to get swatted, I meant falsely swatted. I think something like this happened at my highschool the year before I went in. This was 2021 so a while back, and I didn't fully know what happened, but it was sometime right after March break and we could see a boatload of highschool students coming from the school to our location. We knew that in the case of a serious drill, certain segments of the highschool I attend are to split and make their way to other schools for refuge. Later in class I found out from a friend who had a sibling at the highschool that someone had claimed there was a gun being discharged in a washroom. This later was proved to be false. The people who do this shit don't deserve human rights.

I almost got swatted but, doxxed by a Discord group that I was randomly added back in July last year. One time a person I believe from Germany was attempting to dox me on a doxbin website and he called 911 at the location that I was in. It was a very scary situation and my heart dropped very low. A few minutes later. Nothing really happened because I think they noticed that it was a false report I'm very glad that I was able to prevent this situation otherwise I would be dead by now.

It should 100% be at least a minimum of life imprisonment without parole on all intentional cases. If the victim dies, the charge is upgraded to a Federal Death penalty regardless if it was committed on any state that would bar the application of it.
On negligent cases, it would be based on investigation reports to determine the evidence. But at minimum is set to 10 years.

Tracking calls only gets the police so far. All 911 operators are capable of tracking any call they receive, though it can take a long time to extract that information so usually they just ask the caller for their location. The problem with swatters is that many encrypt their location, or use VPNs to trick police into a wild goose chase. It's extremely hard to track down these kinds of douchebags, that's why they took 5 months to catch that single guy.

My school actually got swatted last year, the entire district. Somebody called in and claimed an active shooter was in the building and we went into lockdown for TWO HOURS. Most people figured something was up and we weren't actually in danger, but some people were genuinely afraid and scared. Swatting is actually horrible, and it's terrible it's going to this platform too. Nobody deserves to get swatted.

I think something like this happened at my highschool the year before I went in. This was 2021 so a while back, and I didn't fully know what happened, but it was sometime right after March break and we could see a boatload of highschool students coming from the school to our location. We knew that in the case of a serious drill, certain segments of the highschool I attend are to split and make their way to other schools for refuge. Later in class I found out from a friend who had a sibling at the highschool that someone had claimed there was a gun being discharged in a washroom. This later was proved to be false. The people who do this shit don't deserve human rights.

i dont know why, but for some reason theres been a sudden influx of swattings/threats at my high school over the past few weeks and i live in Australia... which its not very common in australia. In the span of 2 weeks the school had been put into lockdown 3 times by bomb threats and surged by police to find anything.
in my IT class in 1st or 2nd grade our teacher told us to "Always take the internet at arms length" and I have lived by that mentality ever since, over a decade later it still works like a charm
The fact that you can get just 6 months in jail and a 1K dollar fine for SWATting is a major case of injustice. You do attempted first degree murder, misuse and abuse of 911, waste of law enforcement resources, false felony records, and just get 6 months in county jail?

Funny thing that an effective way to stop swatting is to track the caller’s ip address with their internet supplier but because of “privacy” reasons people just straight up reject it but when something like these happened they blame how incompetent the police are, cuz what is the police supposed to do? Guess correctly every time if it’s a false call or not?
