one of the best sufi singer in Kashmir. I am Big fan of him and Kashmiri sufi songs. what a lyrics and voice. there are many legends in Kashmiri Muslims both in Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits. I want to organize a Kashmiri Musical show in jammu from all Best singers.
We have a treasure of legends in entire J and K.irrespective of religion or language.Unfotunately after Moti lal Saqi no one worked to explore their work .
Amm Sufi was the king of Kashmiri sufi songs and nobody can beat him on this front. So many new singer emerged though very talented and good but they can not take the place which Amma Kandur has occupied in Sufi songs. It is good collection but would be better if the year of presenting the song my Amma Sahb is written on it. He was residing in our locality in Eidgah and was become the associate/friend of my father. my father told that they together went to Cinema for watching picture. He said that Amma Sahb sleep during screening of whole picture and He my father shouted on him for wasting money. After few minutes bakwas of my father he repeated all the scenes of the film one by one and my father puzzled to know it . My one of Cousin brother was fan of Sofi sahb and passed months outside the home for attending the music gatherings of Gh Ahmad. In his old songs the music was quite enchanting having no match. May God keep and my father under his favour till the domes day comes.
