Yes! And this video was only the one in the Altstadt! There are even more markets in Hannover that we’ll explore in future videos! And yes, the tree forest so so cool! You’ll have to make a trip up!
This is a very nice-looking Christmas Market in Hannover. I would love to visit Hannover during the Christmas Markrt season. The first looked really awesome!! This video actually got into a "planning" stage lol. BTW- Potato pancakes are yummy for my tummy :)!!!
@@MYTravelBF I believe it started in 2003 in Goslar, but I am not sure, at least they have a trademark for it, but that just might be for the "Christmasforest" name. I couldn't find any earlier examples.
all german viewers commenting here and want to justify their x-mas-market is the best in germany, well, then take two things into consideration: 1: we bundesländer don't want to compete. because germany is best, period. 2: even though i do say that as being bavarian, the best one is close to, but still in germany. hugs
The German Christmas markets make Christmas markets in other countries look like a joke. We have so many to explore here in Germany too before we come close to deciding the “best Christmas market in Germany”
@@MYTravelBF don't say that, they (the others) try their best to keep up. but you are both right in saying so much to explore. oh man (and girl), there are so many to markets with a different flair, if you know what i mean. i can visualate it. friends of mine went to chicago, the glühwein is 10 euro. now we have snow and harsh temperature. perfect for x-mas. you both doing a well good job representing germany. thank you.
@@siggi383 We’ve been to a few smaller, more local markets where they’re cheaper. This one was just in the Altstadt, so they were a little more expensive.
Boring Hannover???? No way! Such a wonderful christmas market, and perfectly fitting into the city. LG
The Hannover Christmas Market is phenomenal! We absolutely loved it with all of the variety!
It‘s so cool that Hannover has different market sections. I want to go the Christmas tree market. I‘ve never seen that before. :D

Thank you! I think we lucked out that Hannover was our first Christmas market and was quite a fun one!
@@MYTravelBF So cool!!!! I can't wait to check it out one day :) !!
So nice to see more cities adopt the trees in town for market idea, it’s really comfy
Yes! We’re happy Hannover adopted it, especially when its cold and windy. Do you know where the idea for trees in the markets started?

@@MarcLucksch Awesome! We were just in Goslar! Thanks for sharing this info!
@@MYTravelBF Awesome, I will have to wait 2 weeks till I finally can make it there.
@@MarcLucksch It’s a beautiful market! Enjoy when you do get there!
next you have to try "Feuerzangenbowle", but be careful 🤪🤪
Thank you! It’s on our list of things to try!!
How surprising that I was on Hannover Altstadt yesterday and ate that Finn salmon sandwich.
Cool! The Altstadt market in Hannover is wonderful! Did you like the salmon sandwich?
@@MYTravelBF yes I did. I also tried the famous Schweinfleischspieß around the corner and some hot Mead. I hope you enjoy as well.
Hannover has at Marktkirche one of the best Christmas markets of whole northern Germany
It looks like we got lucky moving to Hannover then! We’re excited to see the other Christmas Markets in Northern Germany to compare too!
By far the most beautiful Christmas market in Germany... 🌲☃🎅🥰
We just got lucky then because we’re living in Hannover! We’ll be visiting other markets in Germany too!
I really appreciate this city,,, it's so wonderful 💯💯
We 100% agree! Hannover is a wonderful place!
Schööön!
Vielen Dank! Wir haben das Glück, einen tollen Weihnachtsmarkt in Hannover zu haben!

@@bearenkindercool We can't believe a Glühwein is 10€ in Chicago. That's so ridiculous! Thanks for watching!
@@MYTravelBF hint: watch the video by bff, aka black forest family.
nice, but 4 Euros for a Glühwein is rip off
4€ - 5€ is what I payed at different markets this year. Everything got a little more expensive.
It’s definitely more expensive, but inflation has probably pushed the price up this year too…
@@MYTravelBF In my area we have to pay 3.5. On a small local market even only 2.5 for quality "Winzer" Glühwein.
