Biased comparo. I tried both the GCR and the CS35+. Overall the CS35+ takes the cake for me. These are real world firsthand experience as a car owner and not from a reviewer's/salesmen's point of view. (80% of what I wrote here they don't know for sure) Why I chose the CS35+ over the GCR: -The 360 camera is more functional and records on all cameras while the GCR doesn't. (Very useful!) -Active Cruise control (I love this feature especially when going downhill!) -NVH is miles better VS the GCR -Fresh face in the market -It's very fun to drive -E Park + Autohold -At 890-999k, this is the best vehicle you can get. Bang for your buck in every aspect -Sound system is really good! -Difference in price is a huge factor! -Panoramic Sunroof -The led light bar is such a looker especially at night -AEB works especially when there's a pedestrian crossing (even I didn't see the person crossing. Lol. Around 1 1/2 cars ang pagitan ng pagactivate) -Fuel consumption and total KM travelled are calculated everytime your disengage the push start button. You can't cheat here and show your colleagues and say that your car is "fuel efficient" ✌️ -The Changan brand is one of the big 4 car companies in China. It's even older than Toyota. -both of the vehicles offer a premium ride compared to other (known) car brands. If you try these 2, it will feel like driving a 3-5m luxury vehicle! What I don't like/needs adjustments/change: -Jerkiness of the 7-speed DCT -Driving position is a bit uncomfortable because the telescopic function is a bit far Vs other vehicles which you can just lay back and be comfortable -Suspension can be better. I can feel the potholes on the road, but don't hear it because of the NVH tech -Bodyroll is noticeable re suspension, upgrading to wider tires will help -Leather colour is not for everyone (a bit too red) -Infotainment display turns on everytime the HU functions are toggled. (Volume/next, back track/etc) -Loop recording (can be turned off) and other electronics inside is kept on for 10 minutes even after switching the vehicle off. So when having a carwash, it's best to lock the vehicle so that the system will totally shut down. -LDW alarm sets off everytime your side mirror hits the lane marks (annoying, but got used to it after using the vehicle for some time.) -Backing up fires the screen to maximum brightness even if you have set it to a minimum (this is the worst neg for me, since this can be the cause of an accident) I hope they fix this soon -Fuel consumption can be better -(Subjective, for the memes), my partner falls asleep everytime I drive. Napaka comfortable daw ng ride. Wala tuloy ako kausap sa long rides. 😅 I used to be a constant JDM supporter. But I guess we have to move on especially if you want more value for your money. Don't get me wrong, I loved the GCR as well, but for all the goodies you're getting for the price, I went with the more affordable one. Been driving for 14 years now and had quite a number of vehicles and this by far is the best in terms of overall use! Overall for the price you're paying, the CS35+ offers more than any vehicle in the market right now. It makes the other similarly priced vehicles feel and look like crap. Sorry but it's true. CDM is the future! For me, it's leading the market now, people just need to open their eyes. 😀 Also.. the right pronunciation of the brand is:"Chang-An" ✌️

Agree with you especially the DCT otherwise I love the car mine is red to downplay the red trims , on safety features I challenged the ACC tried following even a tricycle in slow traffic it is the best you experience sa pinas, just need to trust the system geez it stops and go’s, no regrets, coolray and (territory lower hp than cs35) may have auto park but it is the price of Changan is of more value. Had mine last March from Manila bay dealer.
in terms of reliability changan is top chinese car brand in China. kita nyo nman yung old model cs35+ na nagtake ng endurance test 24/7 for 122 days di nagkaron ng problema and it reach 100k plus kilometer in odo. as for Geely may mga parts na maagang bumibigay at may mga parts sa body na manipis ang paint natutuklap.
Value for money at below 1M, the CHANGAN CS35 plus is the Best choice. And Safety wise and features the CS35 plus is unbeatable among all Subcompact Crossover in the market.

Apparently this is not the case anymore since ngupdate na ng SRP si CS35 plus. Yung luxe as of Sept 25, 2022 is Php 1,169,000. Kaya okay tlga bumili ng introductory price pag may new release na auto. Whats intresting for me is kung ano ung magging direct competitor ng Changan vs with the Geely Okavango. Yun ang feel ko sulit bilin since mahal na din si Okavango ngayon.

Been using it for halos a month easy lng ung mga humps d matagtag. pag likuan sa mga cloverleaf ng 60 to 80kph, walang body roll na mararamdaman dahil stiff ung setup ng suspension. ung lumang kotse ko na nasa akin pa ngayon ung 2008 Honda Accord, double wishbone naman setup nun lumalamon ng humps ng walang preno. d kalevel ng CS35 ung suspension pero its really close enough. so all in all good buy yang CS35. kung value lang usapan, yan na.

The engine and performance will always be the Coolray's trump card. It's the best in class. But, I would definitely pick the CS35 Plus if the budget comes short for a Coolray S.
I just got my Alsvin two weeks ago and the dealers are saying that the CS35 is selling like hotcakes! That means it’s that good. Kung pasok lang sana sa budget eh. Pero I’m very happy naman with my Alsvin. 😎

CS35+ for the win in terms of features,safety and value for money, besides the comparison were mostly based on personal preferences and not the real core value of each car not to mentioned the non “apple to apple” comparison in terms of its model variant. Endurance test nyo yung coolray 24hrs for 122 days para magkaalaman. Nagawa na ng 2021 cs35 plus yan 100k km for 122 days no issue or parts na bumigay haha..
I test drove the GCR and CS35+, and I agree na sa driving dynamics panalo ang GCR (walang turbo lag & better handling). Pero net net, I bought the CS35+ because of the ff: 1. Price. I couldn't justify adding php200k more for the GCR Sport Limited. 2. Adaptive Cruise Control. Ang swabe neto pramis! Next vehicle that has this is the Ford Territory which is 300k more. 3. Host of Safety and Smart features (ADAS, Emergency Breaking, Auto Unlock, Auto release EParking Brake, etc.) Things I don't like: 1. Leather material on the side doors and center console. 2. Telescopic steering. sana mas mahaba pa onte. 3. No android auto (mirroring via carplay app works though) Consumers pa rin panalo in the end kase we get to choose amazing vehicles at this price point.
If I stayed in america I won’t buy this 158hp BUT nasa pinas tayo 99% provincial driving with mixed speed rides, tricycle, single motor bikes old jeepney dump trucks bus and slow drivers with expensive cars a combination of 10 to 80 km/hr may padyak pa and yung ayaw tumabe or use the right most pavement eh ok na to you can thread through it

Better tech as it was newly release and more red on exterior and interior choose CS35 plus, better driving performance choose Geely Coolray. As for the looks it is subjective if you like sporty looks choose Geely Coolray Sport, mature look choose CS35 plus
Just got my cs35 plus and I am loving it so far. Agree lang dun sa driving dynamics, medyo kelangan mong masanay sa Cs35 plus dahil nga DCT. Pero overall, satisfied ako. hehe

i own a geely coolray SL pero kung nalaman ko lng na lalabas na yung cs35+ last year baka ito yung kinuha ko dahil sa price at adaptive cruise control at wireless charging, yung red leather lng talaga yung di ko gusto sa cs35

Hello I bought cs35 I preferred this due to its safety ACC and ADAS this the trend already and price, power wise it is there just feather the accelerator then floor it, i would say this suits me
I chose the red one to downplay the red trim and had a graphene paint protection , I would recommend the infotainment is flushed indash (unlike the coolray it is floating mount )

Ung power tailgate pwedeng buksan from the inside without going out or turning off the engine. eh ung coolray meron bang ganung option? isa yan sa reklamo ng mga Geely Coolray owners ung power tailgate kailangan pang gamitin ung remote...hassle dba. mas lamang sa safety features ang CS35 plus vs GCR with a very affordable price. Guys just to say with cs35 the literal na “eat my dust” is true, all the Ford pickup at least there were 3 of them, all had a hard time making a pass on my brand new 158hp cs35 on my way to Bicol this car is quick 280 torque , it’s turbo is already working at low 1400 revs (rpm) and I was also mindful not to reach 4000 rpm kasi nasa break in period pa and yet the Fords could not pass me, lol 🚗🚗🚗 sayang wala ako naka sabay na coolray nagka subukan sana✌️
I think you are giving a biased opinion cause I drove one and the turbo took a while to kick in but once it kicked in it took of but I wouldn't say it's a fast car honestly 😂

problem po angpiyesa tagal a months bago dumating at matagal ma repair wala at ata po silang cumputer sa casa for diagnosis ang makinan nakita kopo. actual to finder the problem sa honda lupit high tech sana po maging ugrade din sila pag dating sa repairing total pp mabilis. silang mag up grade ng unit kaya. next na ako bibili pag ok na lahat staga muna po ako old kotse ko tapps layo pa ng service center santarosa saka pag meron dito sa batangas city

I think CS35 needs to be the top spec to compare equally to Coolray SL.
Sa steering pwed namn adjust depende sa prefered mo. May normal, comfortable at sport.. And additional as well, ang HYPE version may tonneau cover din. Baka di lang nilagay..
CS35+ for the win in terms of features,safety and value for money, besides the comparison were mostly based on personal preferences and not the real core value of each car not to mentioned the non “apple to apple” comparison in terms of its model variant. Nevertheless it is a very informative review. Kudos bros!
Endurance test nyo yung coolray 24hrs for 122 days para magkaalaman. Nagawa na ng 2021 cs35 plus yan 100k km for 122 days no issue or parts na bumigay haha..
I test drove the GCR and CS35+, and I agree na sa driving dynamics panalo ang GCR (walang turbo lag & better handling).
Pero net net, I bought the CS35+ because of the ff:
1. Price. I couldn't justify adding php200k more for the GCR Sport Limited.
2. Adaptive Cruise Control. Ang swabe neto pramis! Next vehicle that has this is the Ford Territory which is 300k more.
3. Host of Safety and Smart features (ADAS, Emergency Breaking, Auto Unlock, Auto release EParking Brake, etc.)
Things I don't like:
1. Leather material on the side doors and center console.
2. Telescopic steering. sana mas mahaba pa onte.
3. No android auto (mirroring via carplay app works though)
Consumers pa rin panalo in the end kase we get to choose amazing vehicles at this price point.

If I stayed in america I won’t buy this 158hp BUT nasa pinas tayo 99% provincial driving with mixed speed rides, tricycle, single motor bikes old jeepney dump trucks bus and slow drivers with expensive cars a combination of 10 to 80 km/hr may padyak pa and yung ayaw tumabe or use the right most pavement eh ok na to you can thread through it

Better tech as it was newly release and more red on exterior and interior choose CS35 plus, better driving performance choose Geely Coolray. As for the looks it is subjective if you like sporty looks choose Geely Coolray Sport, mature look choose CS35 plus

@@kimoivillamor7063 Can't tell kase wala pa kong personal experience for parts replacement. Hopefully wag naman sana. But they are new in the PH market so most likely it may take time for the parts to arrive.
i own a geely coolray SL pero kung nalaman ko lng na lalabas na yung cs35+ last year baka ito yung kinuha ko dahil sa price at adaptive cruise control at wireless charging, yung red leather lng talaga yung di ko gusto sa cs35

Review seems to be leaning all to the GCR. You should have compared the GCR to the top of the line of the CS35 as well and not the mid range model. Mej bias..
Hello I bought cs35 I preferred this due to its safety ACC and ADAS this the trend already and price, power wise it is there just feather the accelerator then floor it, i would say this suits me
I chose the red one to downplay the red trim and had a graphene paint protection , I would recommend the infotainment is flushed indash (unlike the coolray it is floating mount )

Biased ung comparo halatang may kinikilingan. Why dont you compare it with CS35 plus Luxe. Ung power tailgate pwedeng buksan from the inside without going out or turning off the engine. eh ung coolray meron bang ganung option? isa yan sa reklamo ng mga Geely Coolray owners ung power tailgate kailangan pang gamitin ung remote...hassle dba. mas lamang sa safety features ang CS35 plus vs GCR with a very affordable price. Well no doubt pagdating sa lakas ng makina at driving lamang GCR but you dont need super tulin na sasakyan tapos ang kapalit super lakas naman sa gas. just my two cents.

Guys just to say with cs35 the literal na “eat my dust” is true, all the Ford pickup at least there were 3 of them, all had a hard time making a pass on my brand new 158hp cs35 on my way to Bicol this car is quick 280 torque , it’s turbo is already working at low 1400 revs (rpm) and I was also mindful not to reach 4000 rpm kasi nasa break in period pa and yet the Fords could not pass me, lol 🚗🚗🚗 sayang wala ako naka sabay na coolray nagka subukan sana✌️
I think you are giving a biased opinion cause I drove one and the turbo took a while to kick in but once it kicked in it took of but I wouldn't say it's a fast car honestly 😂

Medyo biased ah! di top of the line, tapos wala yung takip ng trunk, kahit meron, and di pa alam trunk space kahit may info naman, lamang kasi si cs35+ and value for money cs35 tlga. Mas gugustuhin ko safety features kesa ventilated seats and auto parking.
Safety features din c geely at my asst parking. Mlakas Ng makina Ang lamang lang Ng changan dhil wireless at auto brake sya.

Pretty sure there's a tonneau inside the spare tire compartment of the cs35+. You also get the power tailgate on the luxe variant.
problem po angpiyesa tagal a months bago dumating at matagal ma repair wala at ata po silang cumputer sa casa for diagnosis ang makinan nakita kopo. actual to finder the problem sa honda lupit high tech sana po maging ugrade din sila pag dating sa repairing total pp mabilis. silang mag up grade ng unit kaya. next na ako bibili pag ok na lahat staga muna po ako old kotse ko tapps layo pa ng service center santarosa saka pag meron dito sa batangas city
