Three best parts about revisiting this as an adult: - Realizing the actor playing Peter Parker is Peter Fernandez, the voice of _Speed Racer_ himself!!! - Wondering if J.K. Simmons purposely based his later performances as J. Jonah Jameson on the character's portrayal here. (They sound nearly identical.) - Finally recognizing the pencil art style of the immortal Gil Kane! (With an inking assist by John Romita, Sr.!)
I was born in 1973, I had around 2 dozen of these when I was a kid! Thank you so much for uploading these and taking me back to a much simpler & better time!
dp ema yo I grew up on this man!! Having heard this since I was 8!!! I melted when when I started playing this!! It was like I was in "get out" lol!! Audiobooks are a dying art!!
OMG!!!! I have had memories of this for years. Like others who have commented I was born in the early 70's and I owned this. I played it all the time. Have no idea what happened to it. Never bothered searching for it online. And here it is. Instant time machine.
I can't believe JJ Jam actually said, "but the publicity..." after Spiderman said "Now let's get your son medical help." After Spiderman ripped the grafted neckclass from his son's neck. Come on, is JJ reall that cold? Lol. I never thought much about it when I was a kid. I still love this record though. Its a part of my childhood.
I have this comic. I have had this audiobook of Spider-Man and Man Wolf . Back when it came out. I love it!. And now I have TH-cam that I can go back and relive audiobooks. Thank you for this.
This was a scary comic book ever. Even the music was very eerie. And spidey tear the pendant off makes the werewolf screamed sound so horrifying. It would make a movie. Look at an American Werewolf in London.
I haven't heard this since it first came out. This record (and others in the series) are some of the few things I've saved from childhood. Thanks for posting!
this was my first introduction to spiderman as a comic book. it had a lot more drama and emotion than the bland 60's cartoon. I never saw peter parker angry in the cartoon as he is here. the best part was when spiderman ripped off that pendant taking a sizable chunk of hair and skin with it. and then hearing the werewolf scream. as an eight year old child, this scared the sh*t out of me.
I disagree about the 60s cartoon being bland, but I haven't seen it in years. But I wholeheartedly agree with everything about the pendant, blood and fur. That is the main thing about this story that stuck in my head since I heard and read this as a child.
One of the Toby MacGuire Spidey films introduced Jameson's son as a lead-in to a potential future appearance of the Man-Wolf. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.
My mom gave me this after buying from a thrift store. Too bad the record was cracked. So finally I get to hear what was set to that writing. I have to admit the voices in my head while reading where Peter goes berserk conjured a far more irate tone than the actual recording.
14:58 Who here boight these actual issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN off the stands? Now, Power Records had only done a 45 with Morbius the Living Vampire... .
And once again ladies and gentlemen, this proves why TH-cam is the greatest website ever.
Myyyyyyy Lord!!! This is what kicked of my over active imagination at 10 years old!!!!! I'm 45, This has lived in my head RENT FREE all these years!!!

👍
Brozen Age & Modern of Comics. = being Spoiled when collecting these comics back in the days .
Love Gil kane’s spidey art. At its best when inked by romita sr!
The guy voicing J. Jonah is Earl Hammond, who would later voice Jaga in Thundercats and Commander Stargazer in Silverhawks.
Ross Andru did the following issue

Also a 73 kid and I also loved these, especially this one.
If you had a few Power Records, a Viewmaster, and a couple Mego figures, you were happiest little kid in the world
My god…the memories. Thank you for uploading this.
this brings me back to being 5 years old listening to this. thank you so much!
Me too!
The rain drops and city sounds bring me back!
I was born in 1974. Wish I kept these... good stuff
But hardly the end for the Man-Wolf as veteran fans know....
Wow. Had this when I was a kid. Still remember all the dialogue! Thanks...

Combination of Amazing Spider-Man issues #124-125.
Thanks, I was wondering if they used this plot in the actual comic books because it was a really good story.

I remember having a "kid's record player" my little desk and little desk chair. I listened to this almost every day.

Loved Power Records books as a kid.... I had almost all of them...
Loved this as a kid scared me lol
I had this when I was a kid, along with a few others, the hulk, the fantastic four, ect.
Thanks so much putting this on! Had this as a kid. Brings back great memories! 👍🐊
Thanks!!! Books and records were the TH-cam of my childhood!!
I think these guys also had Planet of the Apes ones as well.

bruh i'm amazed that youtube has these obscure things.

The days of the storybook records!
This made my whole day.
Haven't heard of this one in 40 years. I remember listening in my 5th grade class
Cool!
I remember every second of this...
Ironic how the voice of JJJ sounds a lot like JK Simmons. 😃
I thought the _exact same thing!_
Well done, man! Lot of effort put into this. Appreciated!
I watching this on 2019!
I HAD THIS WHEN I WAS A KID
Who else wants to see MCU make this into a movie? Man wolf to be the next spiderman villian.
One of the Toby MacGuire Spidey films introduced Jameson's son as a lead-in to a potential future appearance of the Man-Wolf. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.
@@MrMedictom I was looking forward to that. Maybe it will still happen.
@@Boxingbear That would be awesome!
Awesome!! I have a couple like Captain America,
Rather hairy tale, eh true believers?
Thanks for posting, wow lotta memories with this one

Anyone else nostalgic? Just me?
I had this!!!!!
YOUR CHANNEL IS SIMPLY FANTASTIC !!!! I JUST SUBSCRIBED !!!
I still have mine. loved this as a kid. kinda scared me. would make a good movie?
14:58 Who here boight these actual issues of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN off the stands?
Now, Power Records had only done a 45 with Morbius the Living Vampire...
.
i remember this to as a kid in the 70s just wish the illustrations was a a little larger when viewing....
would've liked to have seen werewolf by night go up against man wolf but it never happened.
GarthanSaal444 Says you, pal. Werewolf By Night is no pushover.
Hey, WHAT UP. I have a question for ya. What’s your favorite Marvel Power Record?
@@elijahhaynes216this one , man wolf meets spiderman.
@@TheRealCaptainFreedom i loved Jack Russell
Why is MCU scared of Man- Wolf as the next villian? Same reason they powered down Hulk.
is that speed racers voice ? (spiderman)
Other TH-cam Power Records stories on TH-cam say so, if that helps!
Bruh do you even need to ask? Who else sounds like that?
Pete Fernandez was EVERYWHERE for a long time in pop culture media. Just passed a few years ago...
Spiderman sounds like Speedracer
It is Speed Racer.
Shame that Spidey sounds like a 40 old year trying be a teenager.
bruh it's speed racer, bruh. they were always the same person, it now appears.
This story came after almost right after Gwen Stacy's death.
Mark Brian correct. It was about two or three issues later.
That's explains why Peter was so pissed with Jonah at the beginning.
John Jonah Jameson the Third is the Man Wolf.
I have this record but it skips lol
thats okk! classic. mine is long gone, along with the record player
@@Da9to5creator Because I wore it out with DJ sets 25 years ago.
Marvel cinematic universe needs to make this into a movie. Who else agrees? But with a older Peter Parker such as Andrew Garfield.
WHAT UP? Agreed 110%
A masterpiece! However, don’t show the actual comic to younger fans. There might be some content that’s too scary for young true believers.
The "Robbie" voice is wack! Should have cast a black man.
The Guy who portrayed John Jonnah Jameson is on point.
