The Pursuit Special : Captured here is this red blooded 1974 Mad Max Pursuit Special Tribute. Often referred to as the 'Interceptor' this famous coupe is based on a heavily modified Australian built 1973 Ford XB GT 351 cu Hardtop. This car is powered by an angry 460 cu Big Block V8 with a three speed C6 auto transmission and a Detroit Locker diff. True to the filmmaker's vision it encompasses all of the main modifications used on the vehicle in the film. A favorite with fans and always a headline act at all car and Mad Max shows. The transformation included both gloss and matt paint, flared wheel arches, roof and boot spoilers and eight individual exhaust side pipes. A Weiand supercharger and Scott injection hat protrude through the bonnet, black Sunraysia wheels along with the iconic Monza front end nose cone, dubbed 'Concord'. Enjoy and subscribe!

Finally Toybox is as real as the cars we photograph. Our videos and stills are captured live in camera at 8K, not in a computer montage or render, just old school lighting and photography with a modern twist.

No, not true & false. It's true. There is no reference/mention/hint/suggestion/anywhere in the first movie that it's an Interceptor.
