    I don't believe it, four $2,000,000 winners.

This wasn't just some game show, it was part of the California Lottery.

Yes. All of the other people you see at the end were at the same taping, but were edited out of the final broadcast.

Producer Fred Tatashore was the associate producer for the 60's version of Password. This was when Frank Wayne took over after creator/executive producer Bob Stewart left Goodson-Todman to start his own company.

After seeing these three videos of California's The Big Spin: "You guys lock up, I'm outta here.

$8,760,000 is a lot of money today, but in 1985, I think it would be more than $20,000,000 in today's money. Also, the show's theme music is probably one of my favorite TV themes along with the Wheel of Fortune themes from 1983-1992. If someone could get the theme with some software from this clip, I'd be pleased.

That KGO anchor was Suzanne (Saunders) Shaw who would later anchor with Pete Wilson on KRON throughout much of the '90s until 2000.

there are two reasons how 4 people in 1 show could win $2,000,000 a) LUCK (the most reasonable answer) or B: the wheel was afraid of the idea of Chuck licking his finger & pointing to a $2,000,000 wedge much like what he did to the $1,500 spot on "Wheel Of Fortune"

The credits said "Hollywood Center Studios."

The same studio complex Jeopardy taped at for many years. Also was the home for the original Perry Mason series.

I wonder how much they had to test the wheel after this show.

Where's the 1986 15 million dollar win episode and who has the full episode?

It's not the producer's money. And the lottery usually has a very high house advantage.

They had to change the number of slots with at least $1,000,000.

@TVLubber I know :-) . Think about other shows who also had four-peat wins as well (Hollywood Squares--John Davidson version, and Just Men!). Both of those shows had four car wins a row.

just think if EVEREYONE at that taping had hit the $2,000.000 pot. I betcha the producers would've been like "OH $#/T!"

Hence why they changed the format in the coming years.

@willjarmon I live in AR. as well (Russellville). I think that trying to promote a show would do well for publicity (and I used to live in CA and watched the Big Spin from the Geoff Edwards era on up). Just make sure the main focus is on education like California does. The percentage given to schools should be significant enough so that not just high schoolers can go to college. All people in Arkansas should be given a fair chance to go back to school (even for a 2nd degree).

    THAT WHEEL IS RIGGED! luck

    • @pvtmikeyjr1963
      @pvtmikeyjr1963 2 ปีที่แล้ว

New show for the lottery with the wheel being simplified. Later they would change the wheel to make it better for the viewers with a double or a triple and a $1 million prize. Also the scratchers would be better and harder.
