Arnab you have been Hero since always. All my life I never watched news, but I started watching 3-4 weeks ago. I love watching Arnab. Sachhai ki Awaj Arnab, you’re a voice of justice.
Abhijit who became famous after 1 or 2 songs for Shah Rukh Khan was very angry with all award panels & said in an interview, "Ab agar woh mujhe award nahi denge tho log thookenge unke chehre pe" & people really started giving him awards & made him a star. Log thookne se baal baal bach gaye woh. Chalo.
Abhijit, Shankar Jaikishan were playing some tunes in harmonium "on the road" when Raj Kapoor saw a crowd around them applauding & throwing coins on a towel in front of them. He stopped the car & what he listened to them there made history for them & they reigned as the star composers of Bollywood & gave such memorable melodies for many many years in the fifties & sixties.
Lyricist, poet, story & script writer, Javed Akhtar has spent quite some days (probably years) on the street with his friends as per his own admission.
People don't sleep on pavements out of choice. It is when the "rulers" have 30 bungalows for themselves without caring for the people that they are pushed to do this. Next time when you see such pavement dwellers, learn to be humble for your own sake. Today you have done more damage to yourself than to them. Sad.

There is a problem here. Shobhaa De , as I have noticed over a period of years, keeps on calling people insignificant. In this programme itself she called Ejaz and other people insignificant and ''nobodies''. I really want to ask her, how does she expect the Bollywood fraternity to behave differently. If you look at the world through a certain prism , judge people on some basis of societal hierarchy , fame ,money etc. then how can your arguments for rights of 'common citizens' hold water ? Did it ever occur to you that perhaps not everyone is fame hungry and not every talented person is known by everyone ?

I feel very sad for Salman's police bodyguard Ravindra Patil who was with him in the car at the time of accident in 2002. He was tortured by his own department to change his statement and was on runout hiding bcoz of this harrassment. Lost his job and finally died on the streets. Ravindra was begging for his job to be given back. This is what honesty pays. What a criminal Salman Khan is. Can his blind fans say something on this?

Everyone has a right to his/ her opinion. Arnab can't pass value judgements on others' views. In many countries, if someone is jaywalking and a fast vehicle hits him and he dies, the driver is not to blame. Moreover, the car owner can demand and get recompensed for the damages to the vehicle and the driver's trauma, from the victim's account because the person responsible for the damage was the jaywalker, whose action was illegal.

I think you are seeing me through your prejudices. People without a roof over their head do not necessarily have to sleep in unsafe places. There are places where there is no chance of traffic, such as railway platforms, vacant yards, etc. Or at least they can go to quieter roads with pucca platforms. Think before you speak and cry about people whom you feel are unempathetic simple because you do not have the inclination to see what they say in a positive light.
