The 3.1 is a great engine, change the oil at service specs and 400,000+ K's is a definite possibility. I just bought my second 92 3.1, had to pay closer to $6000. for it as it is a low mileage grandpa driven original. My other one has got 460K on the clock and still going strong. I think that your son will enjoy driving/owning it. Can't wait to see the finished product!
G'day mate. Yeah we a super wrapped with this little beast. Literally just passed its road worthy yesterday. Getting registered next time I'm home from work, then out on some tracks. Thanks for watching. Very much appreciated 🙏 👍
They certainly make my life a hell of a lot easier when it comes to modifying and custom building things here. I honestly couldn't do any of this without them.
I had a 96 model. 3.1 turbo, 5 speed manual. I did a 2" lift with efs springs and shockies. I left the original torsion bars in but wound them up to level things out. Awesome off road! Only thing I hated was the rear sway bar linkages, they kept snapping due to a heavy load and full flexing. It went everywhere! Sadly it had too much rust around the cracked windscreen and it was going to cost too much to repair. Best $1500 I ever spent!
Thanks. I can't wait to get it fully finished and on the road. Just got to put new engine mounts in it and get it road worthy. Then I can put it on a couple of tracks and see how she goes. Thanks for watching 😀👍
Graham Harris 4wd Resto’s. Great job so far mate. These Jackaroos are supposed to be a good thing. I’m interested to see the finished product. Cheers for the episode mate. 🍺
Thanks mate. I had a shorty jackaroo years ago with a V6 in it. It was an awesome little 4x4. This one has that distinctive rattling of the old isuzu diesel motor though. Lol. Still, it should be a great little addition to the family.
We went through 8ltrs. The full paint job was just under $1000. That includes sandpaper, thinners, primer, and masking tape, and the tinted raptor. The jackaroo is a pretty big shell, so I expected to go through a bit, especially when I did all around the inner doors. I don't do closed door resprays. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching 👍
Excellent.
Thanks. 👍😀

Thanks mate. I was a bit worried it would look a bit plain.... but I'm happy, it come up alright 👍. Thanks for watching. 😀
Great job, the young fella is going to have one awesome first car!!
That he will mate. His older brother helped build his own HJ45, so his younger brother has been helping build his jackaroo.
Cool Ep Guys the 4wd came up a treat,
Thanks mate. Something a little different in the garage. Lol
Yes Well done how good is your Misses and boys, @@grahamharris4wdadventures53

I've got original jackaroo factory wheels under mine and it's a 92 3.2 manual and no rust
Nice. I'm impressed how this old girl has turned out. Thanks for watching 👍
Iga want their trolley back😂
Bahahahaha, trust you to notice mate. 🤣. And no, they can't have it. 🤣
On ya bloke, great video.
Thanks heaps mate. 😀👍
Like the blue.
Yeah I was a little worried about it coming out bland. But the smoothness of the raptor makes the metallic pop a little.

There is an old video of mine on TH-cam.
Just look up
My 96 Jackaroo
I'll definitely look it up mate. I'm hoping this old girl will fulfil it role as the young fulla's firs 4x4. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Lucky you got the 3.1 instead of the 4jx1t
Yeah I herd they were ummmm a pain in the but. Lol
O, how I like this one with manual transmission with front manual hubs...
Thanks. I can't wait to get it fully finished and on the road. Just got to put new engine mounts in it and get it road worthy. Then I can put it on a couple of tracks and see how she goes. Thanks for watching 😀👍
265x75x16 is the same as 32s and will fit on the standard rims
Yeah.... I absolutely hate standard rims. Lol
Hi Graham. I am in Malaysia. I have one too..
Rebuild it in 2020 on Engine but paintwork is bad.
G'day mate. They really are a great 4x4, and very popular across the world. I love them. Thanks for watching 👍
Put some KutSnake Flares on it, then it’ll legal with those rims
I tried looking for some to suit a 92 jackaroo, but couldn't find them.

How many litres raptor did you use on the project just as a ruff guide please

Im guessing this one is a trans?… lots of hims and hers confused me lol…
Bahahahaha. It's true identity will reveal itself when it gets on the road. If it plays up a lot, it's got to be a woman🤣🤣
@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 good idea to play it safe and leave your options open lol…
