It could also be a coping mechanism, her young mind does not know how to process the abuse & neglect, so she sleeps to protect herself. Rarely does the mother wake her up when she is sleeping, so it is safer for her to sleep when she can. Just a different way of thinking about it. They don't have the fear we have about knives. Because they use a sharp cickle for farming and a sharp knife for cooking.. That baby will master that knife and go on to cut that grass just like her older siblings. That's how they all learned she will not cut herself trust me.🇺🇸

Poor Bissoma Is always sleeping because she is so undernourished. She is very weak and dont have enough energy like the other kids because her mother doesnt care about her and she is sleeping through the meal and I am sure when she wakes up there is no food left, it happens a lot during the dinnertime, on most of the days.

She's not stupid she knows how to dodge work. And with some kids if you don't tell them to do something they won't take the initiative like the baby to do it. The children need to eat some fresh cooked meat, eggs and dairy produce, otherwise they will feel fatigued and listless. Also, due to their constant diet of rice and greens, their growth and development will suffer. They seem to be sleeping more than usual, especially Bissome. This could be the reason why.
The Little one should have some colouring book to keep him occupied doing some drawing learning the colour ✍️but it may not be what he need as he use knifes 🔪 already and peel corn 🌽

There's no doctors to check her out so whatever her problem is we will never know. But the next day she was helping out in the fields. Kids are very resilient, if she's laying around longer than overnight then something maybe wrong.
It could also be a coping mechanism, her young mind does not know how to process the abuse & neglect, so she sleeps to protect herself. Rarely does the mother wake her up when she is sleeping, so it is safer for her to sleep when she can.
Just a different way of thinking about it. The possibility of her being seriously ill scares me, because we all know she would never get real medical attention 😢😢😢😢

She is very weak and dont have enough energy like the other kids because her mother doesnt care about her and she is sleeping through the meal and I am sure when she wakes up there is no food left, it happens a lot during the dinnertime, on most of the days.

I mentioned that before, she need to get up and help her sister with carrying those sticks, or pick nettles she's old enough not to be told now we can no longer use that as an excuse. I looked back at some old videos and Birma was cooking at Bissoma age. She will carry a dish to where they wash them and sneak it on the ground behind Burno back or throw it down. She's not stupid she knows how to dodge work. And with some kids if you don't tell them to do something they won't take the initiative like the baby to do it.
