I've purchased 25 ounces of platinum prior to 2024 and after 2022. I like its rarity and industrial use. I truly dont care where it's at right now. I'm buying for my twin girls. Gold, silver and platinum. Hopefully, this pays off and I leave them a nice nest egg. I've reached my gold level, and actually too much silver. Thanks for the videos.
Are we into collecting as well, for me I’m mostly into collecting graded silver dollars than stacking even though being in the states I like ASEs bullion monster boxes as well as in the boarding countries of Mexico and Canada.
@sailfly2869 I've started collecting 1 ounce civil war era graded gold coins. Pricey, but worth it. Silver or gold collectibles, you can't go wrong.
@@brian436 during early 2000 I started sailing again and during that time I started collecting raw Mo 8 reale cobs going back to 1619 to 1732 kippers and from that point Mo 8 reale rounds going to 1809 before China started producing copies (fakes) for sale on eBay. It was five years later before I got back into collecting silver dollars again, but this time graded (PCGS) Morgan coins on eBay to current ASEs. Only in 2017 is when I started collecting rolls of ASE bullion coins in fear of solar storms. I’m more of a collector than a stacker even though now I’m into ASE monster boxes and boarding countries silver bullion dollars.
The public have a tiny impact on the gold price - it's the central banks that make the difference. Non West countries have been buying as much gold as they can at the west's discounted price, probably dumping dollars and Euros.

I sold 11 oz's of gold and bought 19, almost 20 oz's of platinum. I still have 70 oz's of gold and a little over 1000 oz's of silver so I think I'm sitting alright but where should I be concentrating my money or should I just keep investing across the board, diversifying like I have been? I buy and hold for my adult daughters for when I die and I don't ever plan on using it!
Hard to say. Seems like you have a great mix. Silver and platinum are off their all time highs where gold is breaking them. I cannot give financial advice but getting out of the system is the key how you do that comes in good, better, best. Make sure you clearly label the platinum so that no one confuses it with silver.

I bought 20oz platinum in 1994, luckily, I sold it all in 2007 to put a down payment on a townhouse. Just started back by buying a 1988 Maple.

The majority of the worlds Platinum deposites are concentrated to only a couple of regions with most of it coming from South Africa.

Welcome! Thanks for coming! My family comes from the UK many generations ago. I’ve visited a few times.
Catalytic converters switched to Palladium since larger surface area per weight about that time I believe.
The refining catalyst made from platinum tend to also remain owned by catalyst company. They take the platinum catalyst back after it’s dead. And regenerate it and make new catalyst out of it again.
Ultimately - if there’s not enough gold to go around during a financial panic, platinum will go way up faster than gold.
It has in the past but it does hold a higher risk in the current landscape with auto sells being down.

1-1/2 oz Platinum I jumped right into the Platinum just cause i seen the price down low from all of my year's of just hearing where the market use to be.
I felt gold could possibly come down a fair bit from 2300.00 $

To my surprise the auto and truck industries is and are one of the biggest influencers of platinum today’s prices.
Yeah and Electric Cars don’t need it. Let that sink in people.
But they do use a lot of silver. However, I hope the EV fad fades. They are so destructive to the environment. I would rather see hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Yep, it’s why the price fluctuates so much. It also why I don’t stack Platinum.

IMO - Platinum is the best value with Silver being a close 2nd... Gold is way over priced in recent times and relative terms and I'd rather hold my wealth in platinum and silver. My guess is that Gold will drop in terms of Silver / Platinum ratios over the next 10 years and hopefully I'm smart enough to take advantage of the change... Until then I'd rather hold Platinum and Silver.
Gold is not overvalued! Silver and platinum are just not keeping pace.

I hope they all do well. They are all undervalued by many multiples. Most of us could not afford an ounce if they were priced correctly and paper derivatives didn’t exist.

I will honestly disagree with you, if you buy some silver as a first investment it will double its value and it will triple, if you buy gold it will double its value,this is what you all are waiting for,But if you were buying platinum, would you wait for it? quadruple over gold,so I think that a good move is for someone to buy platinum and silver to begin with a quantity, for long-term profits at the price that he would buy gold,unless he wants to make quick profits by selling gold and silver,don't forget platinum writing 100 and gold 50.so someone can make a profit, and then continues with gold stocks when completing his positions in platinum and silver,have a nice day.
I don’t recommend people start with platinum. It’s a wild card. Start with silver then gold. Platinum comes after your foundation is strong. In my opinion.
I see most here aren’t into graded Sovereign silver coins. Over the last twelve years nothing in PMs has come close to the profits I’m seeing in my graded silver coins starting with 1878 to current editions.

That would be intense. I’ve heard double but 5X would be impressive. I think it would also take a boom time and high demand for production.
The reason platinum dropped in 2008 was because of the auto crisis. The auto industry went bankrupt and had to be bailed out. Catalytic converter production was stopped and platinum dropped like a rock. That tells how much you people know, you are full of BS.
ROFL catalytic converter production didn't stop. Newer converters at the time required less platinum and more palladium, causing palladium to spike and platinum to drop. Tells people how much you know child ROFLOLOLOL

Only the auto and truck industries will dictate the future price of platinum, but I believe Silver will be the best of all in the long run. Both gold and silver have there place as in traveling and local purchases. Now collecting graded PM coins is an entirely different story especially in rare coinage.

I see gold running a lot higher before we see silver hit new all time highs. I don’t see platinum running up towards its all time high until after silver runs and the economy becomes stronger. Platinum is more a funky precious metals as it’s not really a monetary metal. More industrial.
Personally, I have platinum only on @OneGold and only did so after buying my gold and silver stacking goals.
I don’t see platinum going higher than gold until inflation has been solved, gold has settled, and silver has found its place.
Just my two cents.
