Tony, I suscribe, just to ear that old good stories about d&d again and again and again. Recently find that the section has no uploads due to personal choices and a bunch of real shit. But im here listening!!!! Greetings from argentina KEEP GAMING!!!!!!
Don't forget to have it be possessed by the soul of strahd so that it is also a vampire, and have a werewolf scratch it and it be a full moon all of a sudden. And give it a horrible disease where every time it is hit, a pustule bursts to create a black pudding that makes baby rust spitters.
Hoping to start a mostly Family D&D group whilst hiding from Covid-19. Will give a full report later but I plan to use Fifth Edition's original starter set to train myself as a proper Dungeon Master and later explore the Forgotten Realms setting. Your one of my big inspirations for this idea, T and most of my family said yes to this experiment! My father even came out and said he used to play Keep On The Boarder Lands while in collage.
Hey thanks! I'm glad to bring it back and give it a proper telling now that I'm not pausing, stuttering, drinking a drink and sitting in awkward silence in front of the camera, hahaha! It felt "right" this time around! :)
this is one of, if not my favorite d&d story, I've retold it several times, and because of it, I've gotten some of my own stories to share. (most notably the time our barbarian literally flipped a warehouse) but this is still probably in my top 3. I LOVE IT! ROCK ON SPOONY!!
This series has one hundred and thirty-three episodes planned (so far) and they average between forty and sixty minutes. This series is NOT for the impatient, they're long videos with long stories. It's not unusual to have a cold opening that explains what a series is and what it entails. (That and I have all my own music so I wanted to use the whole thing at least ONCE) Show some patience, and the introductions will be shorter from here on out. =|
I was just thinking of rewatching your older videos starting with Spoony and this pops up in my subscription feed. Great new intro man, although I do miss the bookshelf.
I'm from Kentucky and I play D&D with my boyfriend and his uncle and a friend of the family. I'm a girl playing with a bunch of guys so it's quite fun to do each week.
I DM a group. No one heals. No one *EVER* heals. We have had 0 clerics, 1 (terrible at being a druid) druid, and 2 Paladins. One went mad, and one focused on smites.
I have a lot of stories not them, and it's only been a bit over a year. One guy has gone through ELEVEN charecters, and I killed none. They either requested to die, or the party killed them.
Hey, T! Some time ago, I asked for some advice with my new tabletop gaming channel. I took your advice, and my channel is now in full swing! Thanks for your help.
I remember a time when in D&D my character had gotten an experimental repeating musket and my first shot with the thing i got a nat 1. This caused for it to misfire and all the gunpowder ignited, instantly killing me and another person in my party. The other party member was critically wounded. But with my musket exploding the shrapnel hit almost every enemy in the room letting the remaining party member kill off the drow in the room and stabilize me and the other that got knocked out. It was a good time that day......we also found a tarusqe (probably spelled wrong) egg-that was fun......
Hey great job! I personally I never watched the earlier episodes, such as this one. But hearing it now is amazing! I wish my campaigns where like this. The only thing I can really remember is the time I tried jumping on top of a bug bear that was about to cut my friends head off, (long story) and missed, landing right next to the bug bear in loosing my tooth instead of on top of it. Still did confuse the ever living hell out of the beast though.
Love the retelling and all the new details....Also getting a few new ideas to use in my Friday games >:3 (especially the door rigged with dimension door, hehehe)
It's just mean isn't it? But its a great way to disorient players based on location. There's always that one player that walks around trying to map the place, so it's fun to mess with them that way.
Thinking about it I've given a few of my friends your original telling of this. He was dying laughing, then I gave him Noahs video. Now time to give him this video too. Btw, did you see that Noah uploaded a new video the same day you put this out? The stars aligned apparently :) But I can't wait for the next part!
It was, until my mother asked what it was because I was playing it without my headphones, and then she said D&D was demonic and evil, and my worse nightmare was realized... but yea, never watching critical role again like that.
Thank you very much! The series intro was a bit longer than I wanted, but everything pictured is mine and the music and pixel art are all mine. So I'm safe from copyright strikes and such here on youtube. This is gonna be one MOTHER of a project to redo and retell just about everything. But the step-up in quality and such will be worth it! :D
Currently listening to your stories whilst righting my first 3.5 campaign inspired by Marvel's Infinity War! Maybe I'll tell my story in a similar format of your channel! :D
mouth breathers... That's always been a weird insult to me. I mean if your nose is clogged with shit, or your nose just sucks in general then that doesn't prove your intelligence.
With my summon monster spell i killed 3 lvl 1 trolls with a lvl 1 poisonous frog. I was with one side character who was an inept fighter who was full of himself. The poison frog could only do 1d3 +1 poison. All the trolls were asleep and i poisoned all of them and gradually wore them down with a frog they only needed to be hit once to die and he did...one turn before the last troll died of poison.

Yeah. I was digging after the guy that originally did the jingle and the other guy that did the song itself, but both of them are out of the music business now and won't do anything new. And its very hard to find a serious musician that would do a "theme song" for something like this. At least I have a few pleasant jingles to use, still. :)
I played a utility wizard once, for roughly 4 sessions. I ended up talking in private with DM asking him to kill me off because i wanted to reroll, then i regretted it afterwards because he was so fun to play. The DM was happy to kill it off because for the few sessions i played him, i always came up with a clever way to solve a problem and had a spell ready for any situations. My only damaging spell was the cantrip acid splash, and i had a crossbow, that i used once and missed.

Hey, sorry for asking lol hope you still look at these, what were the numbers to summon the gods? I have a Bard in my campaign that I want to see summon a god if he gets high enough, so I'd like to know
According to the written rules, anything over 30 has the potential to attract the attention of extra-planar beings like angels, greater elementals, outsiders and even gods.
TtheWriter coolness! I was there in 2013. I ran a group for a few weeks at a table in the main room of the third floor for abit but we ended up doing other things after awhile
@@TtheWriter that really sucks. I think that video is what caused me to fall in love with dungeons and dragons. Here's a half-Dragon Tarrasque Lich with adamantium armor and mind powered gunpowder cannons on its back.

That's the thing with magic users. They often have very simple solutions for very complicated problems and DM's can balk and them sometimes. XD
