Awesome, thank you so much sir for sharing about the book! Cant wait get my copy. Been watching the tutorial videos you recommend from 14k stream. I been having a blast learning from and trying to draw. Once again thank you sir!
Looks great! Normally i prefer when Venom has more boot-like feet, instead of toes, mainly because its what i grew up with until the movies, but it really worked here. I think the symbol looks kind of flat, but it makes it pop more and it looks really cool. Love watching these videos
I'm glad you talked about talent because it rubs me the wrong way when artists say that talent isn't real and it's 100% hard work and practise. There are people that could spend decades practising and not be where I'm at. And there are also people who will spend a month learning how to draw and blow me out of the water. It's alright that people will pick up skills faster than you because you can still pick up those same skills!
Couldn’t have clicked sooner when I saw this! Love venom, he and every one of his depictions have always been some of my favorites. Can’t wait to see your take on a Peni redesign!
On your design choice, I actually like what you did with shortening his neck, removing a potentially fatal attack area, matching his vanguard/tank role in the game. More of a defensive sculpt!
I agree with what you said about talent and being talented. I’m an 18 year old artist and I’ve been drawing for about 2 years now and recently I’ve been getting a lot better in my opinion. My mom keeps saying I’m so talented and I got that gift from god and I just sigh and say no. I keep telling her that doesn’t exist I didn’t just automatically know how to draw because god let me do that. I had to learn, I was just able to pick up the skills I learned quickly.
Reminds me of the Venom from Spider-Man Unlimited. Personally, I don't like it when Venom looks too alien. Allow me to explain: On its own, the symbiote is amorphous; when worn, the symbiote's appearance is meant to convey the host's inner self to the outside world. This means that the host is the most important part of the appearance when the two are combined. Eddie Brock, was meant to be a dark reflection of Peter Parker. A bigger, stronger, faster Spider-Man who could instantly change his appearance, and even become invisible, representing power without responsibility (before he began his quest for atonement and redemption). He was your not-so-friendly neighborhood Venom. When McFarlane created Venom, he looked exactly like Spider-Man, except for the big smile that gave him that unsettling and dangerous look.
This Venom conception looks fantastic even though he doesn't look mech tacky, but for a character like this, he doesn't really need it.. Making him look more alien was a great idea😮. However, i think the spider emblem would have looked interesting if you inverted the tint tone and shadow on the white part but in an opaque style . Also, it looks like you forgot to color in the saliva at the end of the tongue.
Venom is an alien symbiote, so it makes sense to be shown as such. Glad you gave that depiction for this.
Now you absolutely MUST draw a Spider-Man redesign. The one in-game isn't my favorite, but i have a feeling yours will be awesome
We shall see!!!
I agree

I’m glad you’re still doing Marvel rivals redesigns I really like the DC rivals too I was hoping you were gonna try to do both

Do a Spider-Man redesign I'm genuinely curious on how you would do a Spider-Man in your style.
how about sabretooth, based off the x-men 97 look
That would be dope
I didnt liked it.
