In 2010 I was working in Albania and I frequently used Alitalia Rome-Tirana-Rome. This route was mainly serviced by MD82. I was really enjoying the flight especially if you seat in the front of the airplane you can't hear the engines. It was so quite and nice flight. I'm still frequent flyer, but not 737 nor A320/A220 are close to quite as MD82, only CRJ1000 can try compete.
I still remember my first flight with a md 82 , Bulgarian air charter back im 2011 (Paderborn- Varna). I was 8 years old and it opened my eyes for aviation. I can count myself lucky to have experienced SUCH a legend 😢
Amazing video I really didn’t realise they where still being used in 2023 it’s like a time warp I flew Spanair many times before their unfortunate demise and sad to see these retire I wounder where their going for scrap
What a beautiful video. The last time I entered a plane from the rear stairs was an Alitalia MD like this .Thrilling planes.
Awesome, it could well be the exact same airframe back during its Alitalia days!

F/O is a former MiG-29 pilot as far as I recognize him and very well aware of all avgeeks and plane spotters diseases ;)
Amazing, I love when people are truly passionate!
The plane behind the MD-82 was a 55 year old Antonov 12!
Correct 😍
My ex-airline and my first airplane. It will be a love forever, but new times need new planes...
All the best!
Ach du Scheiße. Thank you for the movie.
Il est ou MD82 ?please
Who flown in this plane 👇
I will always prefer these amazing 80s jets over today's new world order AI-driven, remote-controllable paper airplanes.
It was very exciting to fly on one of them, for sure!
