Small Explanation on Tap strafing. It is important to have contact to the ground ( e.g. you cannot tap strafe out of a horizon lift since there is no contact with the floor). To initiate a tap strafe you need to slide jump to gain speed. Similar to b-hops you need to decide which direction you want to strafe towards (a or d). Depending on if you want to do a 180 youll need to scroll the bind (w bound to mouse wheel up or down) for the whole duration you want to turn. The inputs in order for a 180 with a left strafe would be: Crouch jump (cntr, spacebar),hold d, swipe the mouse left until the desired angle is achieved and scroll mouse wheel up for the whole duration you turn. The last three need to be done all together. Id say testing it in the range with an octane jump pad is very helpful and trying to do the tap strafe on the second jump. Once it clicks youll find it very easy to do. Hope it helped!
probably used to the more balanced armor system in WZ. personally, I cannot stand having multiple rarities of armor and just being able to swap mid fight. feels like a cheap mechanic
@@tanaydesai7669 That's what I was thinking too, Warzone normally has a much larger time frame between fights, where Apex has so much movement, that third parties happen so much. Like if shield swap wasn't a mechanic, people would probably rarely be the first to engage, for fear of third parties. Would become a camp and pounce third party meta.
@@ChanceofClapp its not cheap mechanic. You know about the damage system? When you hit certain amount of damage it upgrades your armor. This mechanic encourage poking and aggressive gameplay. So people that only ratting till last circle cant win against red shields
The moment at 11:30 was absolutely legendary.. When I’m teaching someone to play I would rather they do this than sit back and wait for someone else to do something.. Even if they miss their shots they’re a presence that the enemy has to deal with and it’s easy to follow up on
Tim it was awesome to see you play with these two. I have no idea who they are but y’all seem like you’re having a good time. It’s more fun to see you having fun
Tim if you some how see this an easy way to pratice is to use Loba's ultimate in the firing range you can sheild swap and practice looting with out worrying about getting attacked. That's how I got better sheild swapping
Slide+jump, when you’re in the air you let go of your directional movement (controller would be left stick). Once you hit the wall you’ll hear the animation of your legend climbing. As long as you jump and move when you’re in the climbing animation you’ll be able to wall jump. But the key is to let go of your directional movement you’ll have it locked down in no time.
Hey Tim, good to see you're having fun. Hope you do stick around to learn and master the mechanics. Don't be too hard on yourself, jumping straight into ranked mode will detract from your learning experience and sets you up for frustration. Enjoy and well see you smashing pubs in no time
tim a big tip is only carry 1 nade and u should use it to a flush ppl out of a spot or b use it when someone is rezing u dont need that many nads carry 8-12 shield cells if u can and carry 2-4 bats 2 medkits and 4-8 syringes 240-300 primary ammo and 1 stack for ur eva or wingman or whatever or 32 eva shots u will have more meds hope u see this it should help u a lot luv u
also to make it easier to hit wall bounces when you're about to hit the wall, stop touching your wasd keys, helped me hit my wallbounces almost every time
Tim, when will u play apex with Nokokopuffs and Lulu. They are the streamers that u played with in Rust, where u guys went to the nightclub. That was gold man. Can't wait to see u play with them. Btw, glad that big streamers like u are playing apex. Ggs tho.

Im glad to see Tim wanting to learn the game. Nick playing the game how i hate seeing it played. Not learning movements and trying to run from fights for placement points.
Tim’s epic push was like something from a movie trailer!
…then he knocked himself. Classic.
