Haha! I agree with Charlie about the pillows (and I'm a woman). They look great, but they're in the way. I do still have a few small couch pillows to make the room look pretty, but they usually end up on the floor. I love the style and functionality of your bonus room . The tip about using the area behind the couch for toy storage is pure genius!
Great idea to put the toys behind the couch. My 8 year old takes over my living room literally daily. With toys, costumes on my. Also, thanks for showing those dollar store hooks for the costume. I have tried so many other ways, why not try this one.

I got so excited that it was a bonus room idea, we built new and are one of the only houses on our block who closed their loft in, and made it a bonus room. I’ve struggled with ideas on how to make it ours, and functional. Love all the tips!!
Too many pillows! Never!!! Never!! The kids are growing up so quickly!! Always fun to see them playing! My sister’s coffee table became everything from a train table to (turned upside down) a boat! She still has it in their bonus space, even though 2 kids out of college and one attending now. When we moved to a new home, my husband said do what you want with the bed, but , please, I beg you, don't buy a pillow I can't lay on. So funny...because it's hard to do! He doesn't ask for much, so I bought what I wanted, and just cringe and keep my mouth closed if he lays on them. Hilarious how you told Charlie, no problem, but are you clean? Exactly! Good one!! You encouraged me to use a huge black and white photo that my Mother had enlarged years ago. My father is taking my 3 year old daughter on a horseback ride to pick up a Christmas tree. It is a great memory. My husband also hates pillows. I have a bunch on the bed, but keep them off except for special showoff times.
