In all competitive exams thesis statement is very important. It conveys the gist or main idea of the topic. What is Thesis Statement? It is the most important part of essay writing. A good Thesis Statement shows writer's command on the subject. It is not difficult to write a Thesis Statement; however, students keep asking what a thesis statement is and how to write a thesis statement. This video throws light on what Thesis Statement is and how it should be written.

Yes, you will elaborate the statement throughout the body of the essay. You will argue it or explain it or solve it.
Mam your teaching method is soo good. I want to know about psychology optional subject. My background is from clinical psychology but i didn't read any book recomended by FPSC. So is it neccesaary to use only recommended books to cover the course? And which book will be suitable? Plz shed some light on it too. Thank you
It is not necessary to read the recommended books. However, you must go through past papers of 5 years to see what kind of questions are being asked.

Miss, do you not consider preview and thesis statement a repetition? Because preview is a summary of causes, effects and solutions, thesis statement is stance based on arguments-that are causes and solutions.
Thesis Statement is the strongest stance/cause in your essay. Preview mentions significant sections in your writing.

Maam can v add headings in essay or highlight important statements ?
We can add heading in our outline like INTRODUCTION ,THESIS STATEMENT , BODY ...and under these headings v add sub headings that we add under each section ?
Essay (body) has no heading. You may use a black pen to write quoations or you may underline the important points. Outline is there to show the headings/main ideas discussed in your essay, so no need to use the same in the body. Also, outline doesn't have a section called BODY. We use the word 'body' for our own understanding, but don't use it in outline; however, introduction and conclusion are written in outline.

When the words pros and cons are mentioned, you'd write both in the essay. There is no pick one and leave the other approach. You will take the side that you find suitable while criticizing those who think otherwise.
