    Did you install the rear light tint yourself? I was thinking of doing it but never installed tint myself before.
    Anyway you could out direct links to the products in the video description? I've owned mine for 2 years now and only thing it has is z1 addon rock guards, lol. I'm going to start doing this stuff but want to make sure I don't buy the wrong thing. The link to where you got the tires also would be awesome, almost time to replace mine. Thanks for the content!

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lucas Shinkovich yes I installed myself with a buddies help. It’s pretty easy and I recommend using water to help apply and adjust like window tint installers do. Also yes I can work on providing direct links to each product in the description. I’ll have that done by end of today. I’m not sponsored by any of these companies so I didn’t put direct links just in case someday they decided to sponsor which would be awesome but I’ll put them anyways cuz I’d rather help out people like you than wait for them. Thanks for the comments!! Please make sure to subscribe as I will probably go over a bit more in detail some of these mods as requested by others on Instagram

    • @lucasshinkovich7611
      @lucasshinkovich7611 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate it! If the links are a big deal, you can just DM them to me also, that works. Would be cool for you to get sponsored sometime.
      Also thanks for going over the air intake and water. I was hesitant to install one due to that. I found multiple videos about people installing them on their SRTs but no one talking about the vent above and possible water getting in there.

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lucas Shinkovich the links aren’t a big deal. It’s hard to deal with potential sponsors sometimes and well I hope to grow my channel. Maybe they will see a benefit in it for themselves and myself as well but I have no problem posting the links. Also yes the CAI for JLT is controversial for some cuz they don’t realize how the vent and water works. They are open intake and think water is gonna mess it up etc. that’s why I decided to explain it a bit more. I’m going to do a follow up video on some of these mods and get more details on it.

    How did the tail light tint affect your reverse lighting? With these crappy cameras, we probably need all the light we can get

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly didn’t effect it much. The reason these cameras are the quality they are is cuz they can do low light very well. So with the tint and the fact the reverse light are bulbs and NoT LEDs it will dim a little bit. However I did upgrade my
      Reverse lights to LED and they are brighter now even with the tint

    At the time of the video, did you have HP and Torque numbers with the JLT and throttle body? They say the JLT adds around 18 HP. Going to add one to mine this summer.

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At that time no I did NOT have the numbers. Couldnt find a AWD dyno close by to me. I just have to go off stock numbers from others that have Dyno'd theirs. it doesnt add power really, however it does add some more airflow along with the throttle body to compliment the engine to add more fuel to the air, thus some more power but its very little. When you tune it then thats when you can get some good numbers

    hey man i have an '18 srt as well and already have the jlt intake, mid-muffler delete and looking to do the mmx throttle body next. What improvements did you see with it? they claim throttle response and possible mpg improvement?

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The throttle body is more of a supporting Mod to the intake to maximize airflow through the manifold without any porting. To get the most benefit you would need to port your intake manifold which will run you at least a few hundred bucks plus install and downtime. It will only gain you around 10 hp/tq so need to decide if thats worth it or not. MMX has worked great in my ride but thinking maybe the fastman might be better, not too sure but both are great. Since i am tuned I have seen a little improvement on my MPG but i tend to floor it more than normal.

    • @MattySRT

      70 is not bad at all. 50 is the darkest I’d go with. It’s fine for night driving and great for daytime. I’d even go 60 if I could just to lighten it up a bit more at night.

    Doing the cold air intake, did it mess up your warranty? If you had a warranty?

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      intake wont mess up your warranty other than the intake itself. However if something bad happens to the engine and its determined to be becuz of the intake then it can void it. However its extremely easy to install a intake and it helps get more air into the engine so its extremely rare that the intake would be the cause of any issues unless you were starving the motor for air.

    One more question for you Sir, is there something like in an OBDII plug in that will allow me to disable the speed limiter that regulates me to like 118 MPH. I know there are ones where you have a computer to install, but again, being on a limited income as mentioned in previous post, they are out of my reach.

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      george mahieu the only way to disable the speed governor of 118mph is by getting a tune. Even the Tazer can’t manipulate that setting as it’s in the hard tuning file of the PCM

    • @sudsnmud
      @sudsnmud 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MattySRT Now getting a tune means new ECM correct?

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      george mahieu yes. PCM is the term to use. TCM is transmission. But yes ecm pcm is basically the computer in the vehicle. That’s where a tune would go. It’s the hardware with software inside. The tune is a program Putting it in basic terms

    Hey Brother, brand new subscriber here, found your vid on Dodge durango R/T and SRT on facebook. Backround is I am retired Navy disabled Veteran that has been a mopar lover since my retirement in 94 when I went to work for a chrysler dealership. Presently in the driveway (I live with my son and family due to health issues) is my black 2019 R/T, daughter in laws 2018 SRT in B5 blue and My sons lifted and fabricated into a 1 ton 95 wrangler. I would like to ask some questions. Being disabled I am on a real limited income and watch my pennies, all my extra's go to the Rango. ALl I have really donje is ditched the chrome badging, I hate it and replaced with red grill R/T, and then replaced the durango and R/T on lift gate with red and black Hemi, and R/T. On the fenders I have rd hash stripes and where they end it says 345 hemi in red and black. Lastly, outside I did the Doge on the tail gate in red overlays. All I have done mechanically is added a blastin bobs axle back exhaust with resonator delete. And inside, just a few red trim pieces to coordinate with the exterior and the tinted windows similar to yours. SO In your video, I could not quite catch it, along with the X pipe, did you keep the resonators or delete them? Also, with the CAI, which is something I wanted to do, do you find any issues at all with the partial covering of the heat extraction port. My son, who is in afghanistan at the moment talked with me about it is very concerned with performance on their SRT if he used that CAI like that, he is looking at doing the big enclosed box like one thats like 435.00. ANd lastly this tazar chip, in reading it, it says gives 0-30 and 0-60 time pages, I assume that is for srt only and wont work in my R/T. So, other than vehicle settings changes as advertised, do you see any real advantage to putting this in my 2019 R/T? Thanks for the Video, Olivia did a great job. It is nice to see folks doing things in the car world with their children involved. That's why my son and now my grandsons are gearheads. HAve a great day....George

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      george mahieu hopefully I answer these in the correct order you asked them. Regarding the resonators no I did not get rid of them. I left them on. I went to a wide angle on my camera and it still wasn’t able to show it.
      As for the CAI I do not find any issues with the vent being partially blocked. I was concerned as well about cooling and honestly with the heat shield and the partial blocked vent it doesn’t make a big difference at all. The air may not vent out as much as before when stock but when the vehicle is moving the vent doesn’t matter as much and prevents the hot air from rushing to that vent thus creating a cooler area for air to be sucked into. I hope that explains it enough. I will do a follow up video on the intake this week as I’ve gotten many requests like you asking about specific things etc. my review here was quick I knownqsninwqs trying to cover all my mods without making a lengthy video. Bottom line is that the CAI from JLT is awesome and that designed will not hinder performance but will help it as well. I live in the desert where it’s super hot and it works fine. I’m am NOT sponsored by any of these companies I am promoting and have laid for all these things on my own to use and test and review honestly. If I believe in a product that works week then I will make it known. Maybe one day I’ll get sponsored by some of these companies but I’m not worried about that right now. Lastly for the Tazer. It will work on your RT for 0-30 and 0-60 times as well as open up the SRT performance pages for you to use as well. As far as advantages of the Tazer there are a few nice thjngs. If I am being honest it’s mostly a cool gimmick device to have but at $300 it’s not cheap. However I believe that for the $300 you do get a lot of cool features to use and have. With me having a SRT the Tazer didn’t really open up a lot of stuff that I didn’t already have like it would on a RT model. So technically the Tazer would benefit you more than it did me. I already had performance pages and drive modes etc. that opens up for RT as you so not have those options in stock form. I hope that helps answer your questions. I will replay to you other question separately. Stay tuned for a follow up video

    • @sudsnmud

      @@MattySRT Thanks for the quick answer, and yes that did answer all my questions well and informatively. I used to run engine rooms on NAvy Submarines and have a great automotive engineering type back round. But that is all years ago and so much is now new and advanced, it is crazy. My son always says dad, you are great, at the restoring angle of the biz. Just like you can tune the hell outa any carb but get lost in fuel injection. So that is a good comparison to me and my Rango as compared to me and my 66 impala. LOL. Have a great day.

    • @MattySRT
      @MattySRT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      R1 Concepts slotted rotors. The Geo ones are good but E Line ones are a little cheaper. GEO comes with a extra special coating for better rust and corrosion resistance. I wouldn't recommend doing cross drilled and slotted even though they say its better. It takes more material out of the rotor. Just stick with slotted and you will be just fine!
