I kinda envisioned cyber-psychosis as the brain's failure to process and command all the augmentations. It's a shame V can't get cyber-psychosis though, it would've put a bit more weight on the augmentation choices you make.
It would have been way too easy if CyberPsychosis just made implants to malfunction. CyberPsychosis takes many forms. It usually hijacks pre-existing conditions like paranoia or megalomania or enables those you're predisposed to, like schizophrenia and hallucinations. It also makes you relive past traumatic experiences, especially if your underlined condition is PTSD. And of course, when so much of your brain power is occupied with managing your toaster lefs and machine-gun arms you have bo way to combat intrusive thoughts. Ever had this urge to jump when you're on a high place looking down? Now imagine that you have sub-dermal armour, artificial muscles and an exoskeleton and you've got yourself a man jumping off a highway bridge onto a road bellow to crash multiple cars with his bare hands and body weight. Scariest part is that none of those cars could even lay a scratch scratch him and he keeps going. Some scary shit right?
Not being able to join factions seems like a huge limiting factor but seeing as it’s the entire opposite of the usual “you can join any and all factions” of Bethesda games, I’m cool with it in theory.

I'm just hoping that for the Multiplayer Online version they restrict through the wanted system PvP to the Combat Zones, this will then allow the city to be alive with real players. One thing I absolutely hate about GTA Online is that the whole of Los Santos is a combat zone, which makes the normal vehicles useless, you can't go around the city and hangout with your friends without someone coming to bother you and the whole community is very underage and toxic.
I wonder if at some point you'll be able to join the police at some level, perhaps as a patrol or MaxTac unit, a side job maybe? I hope a DLC allows us to do that.
No, you won't be able to joing factions like gangs ecc. The devs already said that, also, there is a number of reasons why you can't do that, first of all, this not a sandbox like fallout, this is a RPG story-first game
The devs confirmed there will be a 'police scanner' that notifies u of criminal activity, and you can choose to intervene. There's also bounty hunting quests.
Corpos typically do their own policing. SURE you are effectively above the law but if your malicious activity reflects poorly on the image that your corp wants to project, There is no legal force or HR department in the world that can save you!
If its a city state its a police state, you dont need a "classical" political system for it to be a police state. Though its semantics, whether its a "police state or a corporate fascist state"; in practice there is little to no difference. Its a frightening world, and its even more frightning how many similarities it has to the real world. Its going to be one hell of a game :)

Night City is gonna be a super interesting first-person look into what living a technological "pure corporatocracy" would be like. The cops are basically just a state-sponsored/sanctioned gang in a way, and the real "law and order" and "government" are the big corporations. Not that corporatocracy is any kind of alien concept to me as a lifelong American citizen, but the US has always been a sort of crypto-corporatocracy cosplaying as a democratic republic. We've not experienced a full-on, open corporatocracy, let alone a futuristic technological corporatocracy. That's just one of the many exciting morbid curiosities this game is gonna explore.
Actually, Arasaka paid a HUGE price for the nuke going off in the 4th corporate war, damn near tanked the government and economy of Japan as well. The governments have a lot of power in the universe, it only seems like the corporations outrank them because the politicians and generals (in Militech's case) behind them want it to seem that way so they can shift blame.

I was being pursued by guys shooting at me. A cop walked literally next to the guy shooting at me and did nothing. But when I pulled my gun to defend myself the cop attacks me. That was so immersion breaking to me.

Firearms legality is different. It's easier to claim self defence in most of the USA. It's mentioned that a guncam video of the dead guy pointing a gun towards you can be enough to get free.
Is it possible to crawl on ceilings with those arm blades? I've seen walls, but being able to wrap around a bridge would give a pretty sharp edge against Stag.

There is one major problem with CDPR, which in my opinion makes them not so "customer-friendly" but rather "mega-corporation friendly". I'm talking about support for Linux and / or Vulkan. Why does Cyberpunk2077 only support DirectX12 on PC? Why there will be no Vulkan support? If they want to release the game on Stadia (basically Linux + Vulkan), the game must support the Vulkan API, so my question is: why don't they add Vulkan support to the PC version?
Ehhh, getting close and you get shot, that's every video game though. Sure there's a lore reason but gameplay won't be that different then. Get shot, again. I know dirty cops, but still.....If I hang around long enough, I get it, but if it's more or less right away...meh. We'll see, it would be nice if they tried to shoo you first, if that fails, they try to arrest...if that fails, then they shoot at you, then the bent copper shows through.
