I gave myself no restrictions and decided to just have fun on this Goodwill trip and this happened! See all the cool stuff that went into my cart even after a super busy sale day at the store according to the manager!

It looks like a toilet brush base Danni 28.50 on the video. The stitched flowers are embroidery. The farmyard cross stitch is epic.

Oh, those of us who watch your channel will never think poorly of your need for retail therapy, especially after dealing with Noah's emergency. I am so relieved that he is doing better, and is stable. He, and you, are in my continued prayers. God bless.

The carving could be! I thought it was a mermaid, but there’s too much going on!
The framed flowers were done with embroidery stitches. Embroidery has a variety of stitches. Needlepoint is the same stitch, diagonally (like the forward slash "/"), & cross stitch is "x's." Hope that helps
Good explanation. Then there is also crewel embroidery, which uses embroidery stitches in crewel wool.

There’s some really good reference books out there on needle work at used book stores (and sometimes at thrift stores).

@@VampcatVvvvV Yes, candlewicking is a form of embroidery done with French or colonial knots. Originally the embroidery was done with candle wicks on muslin fabric.

I’m so glad Noah is doing better. Also, don’t ever apologize for taking care of your mental health. I have been there. My middle son spent birth thru 4.5 months in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. We have spent many days in nights in the hospital. You do have to get out and away to take care of yourself or your cannot be the support and help for you child if you don’t. You are doing awesome momma.

You liked him for many reasons, be the reason why he liked you, too. Mark and I always thought about what each other would think about things. And I still do. I do what I want but am still what he chose...i like people...

Part of taking care of your son is taking care of yourself. If momma is stressed then you add to his stress. My refuge when my husband was in the hospital was the bookstore was around the corner. It was my place to decompress. Hang in there. Continued prayers for him and you!

Prayer and thoughts for Noah and you. My brother had a ruptured appendix this time last year. They gave him antibiotic for 3 days in hospital I believe and and then sent him home with a list of do and do nots. About 3 months later they finally operated on him and removed his appendix. Our family was thinking the same thing as you are, “what do you mean your not removing it?” But we had to have faith and it worked out and he’s as good as new, minus one appendix.
Glad that you did something for YOU. I was hoping that this trip would be the one to find a glassy baby or something special that would excite you though! Its great that you found a little something for Rachel. She must be pretty stressed too to have her big brother so ill. Still praying for you guys.

Danni: I buy interesting plates that are damaged or don't have any resale value and use them in my garden as borders in my flower beds, around my roses etc. Everyone loves them.

You passed some dishes that have palm trees on them. Those are Home Trends, the retired Palm Tree pattern. I use them, but also have done well selling pieces I find.
You built a successful business on your old formula of instinct, hard earned knowledge, and your $20 limit. Why change what was working so drastically? My heart hurts for you and Noah. My son too unexpectedly was admitted into hospital and 7 hour surgery. He is getting out tomorrow, on his birthday. Will continue prayers for your son.
It was to cut back on inventory as she has"closed" herEbay Store until maybe mid Nov. butshe still has to "work" and make videos thrifting that is why the formula has changed for a little while. It's just because to start having huge inventory while your other inventory is still in totes packed it's very "good" for her business right now. It's only temporary, so don't worry. she will return to her "$20" profit formula soon enough. 😜

The first 'needlepoint' is actually embroidery. Needlepoint is on a canvas and embroidery is on a woven cloth. Cross stitch is a special counted weave fabric.
