  • If you ride flat pedals on your mountain bike, these just might be the best flat pedals you can buy! Of course, I haven't tried them all, but after trying these out, I see no reason to try any others! These pedals are very unique in their design. They are unlike any other flat pedal out there for mountain bikes, in that your foot position is different than traditional flat pedals. The result is more power, more stability, and more comfort.
    Check them out! pedalinginnova...
    Note: These pedals were sent to me at no charge from Pedaling Innovations in exchange for this review video. However, I will never promote any products on this channel that I wouldn't buy with my own money! (and most of my reviews are on products that I have) If I ever receive a product that after trying I decide I will not continue to use, I will simply send it back, and not even make a video!

    Good review Matt. I have been riding those pedals for over a year and I love them. I did have a bunch of pedal strikes in the beginning but not any more. I just rode better and avoided most of them.

      Yep, just have to adjust! I've already cut them down quite a bit.

    Thanks for the review ... I've been suffering from arch pain and the stiffest shoes and crazy insoles have not helped. I'm hoping these will do the trick

    Thanks for the review. I've been using these for a couple of years, and really want to try the XL version.

    I use these because I have big, wide feet (size 14). I own a set of the Catalysts that I bought for my old hardtail that I dusted off at the beginning of The Pandemic and I really love 'em! I've ridden for the last 15 months on these pedals and I've never felt more comfortable. I've upgraded to a carbon, full suspension and I'll be giving the XL pedals a go once they have them in-stock.

    I don't notice any issue swith pedal strikes if you get strikes it's cus you pedal wrong, hit the pedal, but then you could potentially hit your shoe instead with regular pedals. Another thing I see some do is dip their toes. That also is bad for clearance. I keep my feet quite level when I pedal.
    I reccomend to get these pedals, or course if you are a kid with tiny feet then these are overkill, but for me with 42-44eu size I defenitly won't go back to regular pedals. But I've ridden with midfoot position for many years and I never liked the ball of foot position. I see I am not the only one Tha t uses mid foot position where I live seems to be common among kids, probably it just feels the most stable and foot sits better on the pedal, especially with bad pedals. I've not liked ball of foot position it jsut felt wrong, unable. But do eha tworks for your body

    I totally dig my pedaling innovation pedals. I have although ripped pins out and ovalized the holes they screw in. User error 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @huntstyle
      @huntstyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You know you can just unscrew them, right? Haha!

      @@huntstyle holes wallowed out enough to not take the new pin🤦🏻‍♂️

      @@themiddleagemasher8108 helicoils are the ticket to your problems with ovalized bolt holes. Afterwards a little loctite is cheap insurance to keep the bolt/pins properly torqued.

    Pedal strikes were definitely an issue when mtbing with 175mm cranks / catalyst pedals . But after sizing down crank length- 165mm, pedals strikes are almost non existent.

    Really wish there was a good full sealed cage bearing MTB pedal out there (none of this bushing + bearing garbage). Something like a Crupi caged BMX pedal.

      So da rthe tar eperforning good after few years of use, but I've serviced them regurally. But a thing that wears some is the rubber seal, it creates rubber hairs. And if you make sure to service the pedals, pakc with grease they don't creak or get noisy jus tlike all decent pedals

    For a beginner reviewer, I strongly suggest that you refrain from using obnoxiously loud and downright terribly orchestrated back ground noise. 🤬

      Lol, as I said I was sent the pedals at no charge (they were slightly used at that). Not paid. But fyi, I'm still using them today. If a product is 💩 I won't review it, I'll just send it back to them with feedback.

    These are what I would call jump pedals.. or on a fast flow trails... but on technical trails I would avoid... just way to many strikes..

    • @gatoryak7332
      @gatoryak7332 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pedal strikes are almost always due to user error. Even on technical trails.
