although the ID.3 looks nice, VW cost cutting is obvious, cheap interior materials, no Buttons (a lot of owners hate the touch buttons already) No rear speakers in the car, also VW made no effort to change things for RHD cars, the touch light button pad is behind the steering wheel not to the right of the steering wheel (LHD is to the left of the wheel), main home touch button and controls not brought to the right of the infotainment screen so closer to the driver like on the LHD model, Windscreen wipers do NOT wipe as far to the right as they do on the LHD model so on the RHD model large unwiped area on the right but wiped all the way to the side on the left. Glove box smaller as they didn't move the fuse box either, no rear buttons for rear windows, no sunglasses holder etc, all cost cutting by VW.

True, and VW are not the only manufacturer 'cost cutting'. EV's cost a lot to develop, and car companies are trying to keep costs low.

@@DeckOfCars thats the major challenge for non tesla companies. Tesla is very profitable and will be able to get demand via dropping prices. For others, it will mean making an even bigger loss trying to hang with them.
on quality, i think i even spotted a rear drum brake on there also. It really does look like alot of car companies will be going out of business in the next few years while trying to catch up, perhaps they will be able to sell due to tesla lack of availability, not on value or quality.

Ok i’m sold! When you said your height i decided. I drive a mondeo and am 195cm in height. I think it’s the same as you. I want to take the step over to EV but i dont want to loose the passenger space because of my height.

The Id3 is spacious in the back, good amount of knee and headroom 👍

Apparently still 12 months away from first deliveries - unbelievable!
