I lost any respect I had for Syed Ali. He has had many conversations with br. Adnan Rashid and it always seemed the Shia like Syed Ali are not arabic speakers and have not tried to understand the Quran. Mr shamshi totally misrepresented the verse 100 of chapter 9 to prove that Muslims were supposed to follow them! First see the verse itself! And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment. In it, it focuses clearly on the award of Jannah, as it is common promise to every Muslim by Allah, besides the Mahajaroon and Ansar. It is implied from this verse ,that become believers from non believers as like as did the Mahajaroon and Ansar, so this is ,the kind of follow (in the faith) in that particular sense ,being demanded by Allah and not exactly from Muslims who became Muslims after them or any other one who will get into islam later on . So how he can present it as a proof that Muslims should follow them firstly the Prophet pbup was still present among them to guide them all and secondly Quran still, was being revealed to Prophet for guidance ! So Mr Shamsi interpretation suggests, forget the Prophet at one side and start following the Mahajireen and Ansar. It is a total misguided interpretation from Mr Shamshi. وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِینَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحۡسَـٰنࣲ رَّضِیَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنۡهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی تَحۡتَهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۤ أَبَدࣰاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ﴿ ١٠٠ ﴾
And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.

Those that accepted islam after the conquest of Makkah

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِیرَ ٰثُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَا یَسۡتَوِی مِنكُم مَّنۡ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبۡلِ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ وَقَـٰتَلَۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ۚ وَكُلࣰّا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ﴿ ١٠ ﴾
And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

And among the bedouins round about you, some are hypocrites, and so are some among the people of Al-Madinah, they exaggerate and persist in hypocrisy, you (O Muhammad SAW) know them not, We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great (horrible) torment.

I lost any respect I had for Syed Ali. He has had many conversations with br. Adnan Rashid and it always seemed the Shia like Syed Ali are not arabic speakers and have not tried to understand the Quran. Clearly he hasn't tried since and failed here to demonstrate he has even tried. These guys are trying to follow Islam in English. Shia seem to have made their own religion like the Christians and possibly the knowledgable Shia probably know what they are doing to the ignorant but they hide the truth and mislead the masses. bro, north african now are mixed with arabs. I'm from morocco, and our families trace back to ahl al bayt, many do. When you see the genealogy, or the family trees, you can clearly see it. When arabs conquered the maghreb, many people from arabia came, and mixed with the amazigh people. So literally almost anyone in north africa has some descent from ahl al bayt.

That is the great attainment.
In it, it focuses clearly on the award of Jannah, as it is common promise to every Muslim by Allah, besides the Mahajaroon and Ansar. It is implied from this verse ,that become believers from non believers as like as did the Mahajaroon and Ansar, so this is ,the kind of follow (in the faith) in that particular sense ,being demanded by Allah and not exactly from Muslims who became Muslims after them or any other one who will get into islam later on .
So how he can present it as a proof that Muslims should follow them firstly the Prophet pbup was still present among them to guide them all and secondly Quran still, was being revealed to Prophet for guidance ! So Mr Shamsi interpretation suggests, forget the Prophet at one side and start following the Mahajireen and Ansar.
