Exactly!! 😂 Parades were always fun 😁. As clumsy as i am, i luckily never stumbled conducting. I did however nearly fall off the podium my sophomore year 😬. Our show opener was Men in Black (This was late 90s), and our band director wanted the entire band to wear shades and dance during the drum break 😅. Including me 🤯. I lost my balance during our marching competition exhibition that year. We were the host. I managed to snap it back in place, but not before the entire stadium freaked out and you could hear them all taking a deep breath. Standing ovation and applause for saving jt though. Good times 😂😎
@MoonlitBookworm73 It was pretty scary, and I remember not sleeping that night bc of all the adrenaline in my system. It was good times though. That incident helped me build more self-confidence which was something I really needed.
@ aww, that’s wonderful! Adrenaline is a hell after performing (I’m a former choir kid, so very much understood lol), but at least you got your confidence!
My principal had indoor celebrations featuring our school's marching band, athletes and cheerleaders marching through the halls of our school. We all stood outside of our classrooms and cheered. It was so much fun.
Thank goodness i never fell during my parade conducting, it was dark, ppl everywhere, lights on instruments and my hands, and i was going backwards on a road

My school literally does this for some. We line the hallways and play some stand tunes. I unfortunately am always stuck where the cheerleaders gather and u hate that they like hype me up bc im awkward as heck and don't know how to react to human contact
okay so this might be a total culture shock cus I was gonna come in these comments and be like "doing this in a hallway it sounds like shit, no one can see or hear anything but echoes." but this is just how indoor schools have parades. so I'm from the south where the majority of our schools are mixes of buildings, portables and outdoor hallways, also known as outdoor schools. the really fancy ones are just huge buildings with various outdoor spaces like courtyards, lunch tables, and ofc stadiums for each major sport on campus. But that means our parades, pep rallys, all performances are typically outside where sound quality can be practiced and controlled very well. the high school I went too was relatively broke, lots of portables, couple small buildings, not maintained very well, but the campus was pretty big and could easily take up to 10 minutes of walking in 110 heat or hurricane weather between classes.
I can NOT take this seriously when hes wearing lighting McQueen crocs 😭
Trombones being trombones 💀💀💀
real
Okay but the fact that hes marching that well in crocs 😭
iconic
It k, they’re in sports mode
Who else was expecting the 20th Century Fox intro?

Fr
DU DU DUUUUUUU🎺
Yes
When it’s down pouring and the gym is being used but you’re band kids
We get priority access to a gym
Our band matches in the rain.
See, we're different.

This doesn’t have nearly enough likes
Good on you for saving yourself! Sounds like a fun time!

The lighting Mqueen crocs 😂😂😂😂
Was so convinced they were going to play the 20th century fox theme
The horns up was clean asf
I always wanted to march a converter baritone
yeah I discovered they existed a few weeks ago and now im always looking out for them lol
What is a converter baritone
@@CavieJeff it's a type of euphonium that can have it's leadpipe changed so that you can play it over your sholder like a contra
@@campbat5712 erm, ackshually, the baritone and euphonium are two different instruments ☝️🤓
@@queen_e23 the real conical bore was the friends we made along the way
My principal had indoor celebrations featuring our school's marching band, athletes and cheerleaders marching through the halls of our school. We all stood outside of our classrooms and cheered. It was so much fun.
This is how I marched when I was drum major
I mean my Drum Major looks back every once in a while when we’re marching
the pit still in the band room: 👁️ 👄 👁️
I say we should start marching vibraphones! I mean how heavy can they be?
Thank goodness i never fell during my parade conducting, it was dark, ppl everywhere, lights on instruments and my hands, and i was going backwards on a road
marching in crocs is despicable
If that was the song eye of the tiger, that's as despicable as it gets.
My drum majors just walk in front of us facing forwards everytime during paradea
Drum majors are too good
I really thought they were being held up by a whole firing line
Same
What type of baritone is that? It looks like a mini contrabass tuba
I believe it’s a converter Baritone. It can switch between concert playing and over the shoulder marching playing.
Convertible Euphonium
It’s a convertible baritone, all you gotta do is swap the mouthpiece holder thjng out with another one.
Who else knows this from the old Royal high map on Roblox that rarely gets used anymore?
Was that kid marching in Lightning McQueen Crocs???
Theres a tiny contra that im guessing is either in the key of Eb or F or is a marching euphonium
I was a drum major and having to do this during parades was kinda scary but you get used to it.
We do! I’m glad you noticed 😂
We just count in our heads I believe. I’m not usually in the front
You should see what marching backwards does to your calf muscles! Massive!
you know what else is massive?
@@MemeAsylumFan low taper fade.
I’m a trumpet player and I thought the drum part was the fight song

I miss these days man
Why are the drum majors arms so high 😭
Convertible euph goes dumb
Waynesville!!!!
I was thinking the same thing! I immediately saw the conductor in the middle and was like ‘was he in my college algebra class? 🤔’
I can smell the body odor through the phone
That’s because the trumpet players are passing and they won’t put on deodorant like it’s anti-Christ
Shoulder mounted euphonium 🤩🤩🤩
The tubas in the front is horrendous. But funny
I thought it was about to be the movie opening.
My school literally does this for some. We line the hallways and play some stand tunes. I unfortunately am always stuck where the cheerleaders gather and u hate that they like hype me up bc im awkward as heck and don't know how to react to human contact
Sounds like a truck horn at the end
The lightning mc queen crocs
THAT IS MY SCHOOL 😭
MAR MA A MARCHING BAND MAR MARCHING BAND EUAGHHHH
Very good young musicians
😂alright get it trombones
I thought it was 20th Fox Century at first
first i was like 20th century, then i thought eye of the tiger, it is neither
Nope it's the eye of the tiger. That's their fight song.
@ i guess it’s the second trumpets staying on the C
Why do you need drum majors to conduct a walk through😂
What else are they gonna do lol
is this a reference to what i think it is
Not to be harsh, but as a percussionist, the snares are not quite together with the 16th note rim clicks
Aw you cut off the drumline
I cannot stress enough how useless the drum majors are in the scenario 😭
Ngl I thought it was fox anniversary song
What drum majors? Those are brass
the three people in the front conducting?
I thought if was the intro for that tv thing
Nombre del tema

Yes, they do
Yes what else were you expecting
This and the comments section got me dying XDXDXD
Holy Lowbrass...
Why 3 drummajors?😂😂😂
bigger the band and depending on their classification the more DMs are allowed
this is cool
That sucks for the sousas😅
Out. Of. Step. Whole. Band
Kinda hard to keep in time if they’re not using a technique. It’s just for fun anyway, I mean no one but the first 3 rows could see a dm.
There’s one guy who is ahead of the beat but still in step. What are you talking about?
They are all together and are all on beat? This song is also not a march so It’s a bit difficult.
I don't think you know what your talking about bro 😭
Rip susas
Im in color guard! Gray sweatpants was nice ;) lol
thats was too much bass
Almost like they were right next to the camera and that's what the phone picked up
Out of step
Kid. In. Red. Out. Of. Step. Ok
That was not very staccato of you…
Lowkey trash coming from a trombone player
Them notes were flatter than both tires on A bike!
