We have been using rockets instead of flares since Heli EC aka Ka-50 sandbox.

Helicopters like this in ground battles I'm fine with, this actually takes some skill. It's when we get to things like the ka-50, and well, pretty much anything with lock on missiles that can be fired from a mile away by someone playing a point & click game that I can't stand
But then how will the bias be applied? They are running out of ways to apply russian bias

This heli has saved War Thunder for myself. I had the AH64A(GR) before unlocking the little bird and it was fun but my GOD the little bird just magnifies that fun from ah64A 10x easily. It is 100% of the time my first vehicle spawned in and am now the point I'm getting at least 2 kills before dying. The thing is so nimble and allows for fast maneuvering 2 meters of the ground wizzing by trees and buildings. They don't even know what happened 90% of the time. So rewarding this heli is it stopped me from quitting war thunder entirely. It's that good

Have you tried using one rocket pod and a 20 mil on the other side?
Cuz when u use rockets it looks like out of 2 pods one is always missing, so seems like not a bad idea
You don't get a 20mm, only a 7.62 or .50

When the AC0 music hits, makes me think how awesome if we got an Ace Combat game with helicopter levels or it's own dedicated mini-campaign with them.
...I mean a GOOD Ace Combat game. Assault Horizon, while a neat game in it's own right, doesn't really live up to the Ace Combat title. Also it only has 2 helicopter levels and only 2 non-DLC helicopters. The doorgunner railshooter sections do not count.

I found just buying the ah-64 in the US tech tree helps a lot with heli fun 8km hellfire missiles and 4 AA missiles

Gaijin needs to add an helicopter Playlist separate or add objectives on map for jet and helicopter players to go do instead of using mini guns on tanks and IFVs that do nothing
Same thing for IFVs im sick and tired of getting cross mapped by point and click tow missiles from IFVs that have 1 second 180 degree turn radius on turrets
