Hi everyone 🙋♂🙋♂ , once again we would like to thank all our viewers and subscribers we are extremely grateful for your continuing support thank you to everyone 😉👍👍 best wishes and ATB Rob & Al .
It's new equipment! It's cool to find an Olympic related badge. I was also surprised when you found the silver thimble. It was also nice to see each part enlarged. It was nice to see evidence of the war through various musket balls. Thank you for sharing this video.
Hi Fred 😂 , thanks mate i was gob smacked when i saw the condition of it all the other copper ones i have found have been knackered 😂 , take care my friend ATB Rob & Al 🙋♂🙋♂👍👍
Great job fellas. Congratulations on the silver thimble rob! Looks like you ste getting on wirh the ctx pretty well! Thanks for sharing fellas 💪🍀🤘 Happy Hunting 🍀
Lovely silver found by Rob, great condition, still getting used to it staying on factory settings for the time being, and finding some good stuff ATB Stay safe Al and Robbie.😄😄
Such a lovely permission, Its certainly yielding well! That thimble is stunning, well done Robbie and good luck Al with your new detector, you did pretty well with it on your first outing! All the very best my friends, take care and happy hunting, Julie 🎉😊❤xx
The permission has been good to us but no gold yet lol, what a find by Robbie with the thimble it has great detail on it, i didn't do too bad with the CTX i went over a lot of areas that i been before with the equinox 800 and it pick the coins up so pretty happy with it for now. ATB Al and Robbie stay safe.😄😄😄😄
Yes it was a lovely thimble with some great detail on it, made up with the little coin spill been over that ground loads of times, but the CTX picked it up ATB stay safe Al and Robbie. 😄😄😄😄
Wow what a fantastic silver thimble, and in 50 years detecting before being disabled I have never been lucky enough to find a silver thimble, although I have found dozens of copper alloy ones. Now my wife is helping me carry on detecting, she would love to find a silver thimble, she has found 3 copper alloy ones in the last 18 months since we managed to do disabled detecting but not a silver yet. What a lovely location as well, you are very lucky to get permission to detect on the grounds around the Hall. All the best from Wendy and Jon in Derbyshire.
Hi mate , it's the same for me up to now all i have found is scabby old copper thimbles and when i dug that silver one up i was gob smacked !! especially when i saw how good the condition was it's a belter and very collectable to £££ not that i would ever part with it , and you are right about the location so many nice finds have a look back to a previous video where my mate dug up a silver and gold Fob Seal in the grounds of the Manor and it has to be said the owner and his wife are great people and very interested to , anyway it's great to hear from you best wishes and good luck ATB Rob .
wow Rob what a beautiful find that silver thimble is ,that is one of my bucket listers ,i have found several but they are all squashed flat ,and just for a minute i thought bloody ell the jammy buggers found another one LOL, what a great permission that Hall is and i still reckon a gold coin will come off there for one of you ,i managed to get out Sunday on a club rally and ended up with a bag full of green waste and a bit of cramp LOL it was bloody agony though , we are hoping the weather picks up now for the coming weekend ,great video my friend HH and take care ,,,,Pat
Hi Pat , yes mate i couldn't believe the condition it came up in i have only ever found scabby squashed copper ones before and i was gutted when the second one turned out to be a bloody chrome dust cap of the gardeners yard tractor !!!! 😂and it's strange loads of copper coins at the Manor but only 2 silver coins so far and they were not particularly old and obviously no gold and we have hammered it and dug practically every signal ? but we will be back because i am sure there is more goodies there 🤞 , and we have a field that we have found roman stuff on but it is full of contaminated waste that gives fantastic signals 😠 hope you get out this weekend pal and good luck , many thanks and ATB Rob .
Hi Rob and Al, rudy hell Al that's going to be a steep learning cure on the CTX3030, good machine when you get your head round it, might consider getting a harness for it mate, Rob you lucky bugger 🤣 that silver thimble is a little beauty, the most ornate I've seen so far, plenty of coins old and new, nothing wrong with muskets balls either. Take care you two. ATB Bill and Julie X 👍😊❤
Hi Bill & Julie , you are right there mate i had a quick look at it and a steep learning curve just about sum's it up 😲 and he has already got a harness and he will need it to !! , and i was practically speechless when the thimble popped out as you say it's a beauty and according to Martyn from A Yorkshire man in Dorset the musket balls are to big to be from a musket more likely to be canister shot ! so there must have been some sort of skirmish going on ? , anyway thanks mate and best wishes to you both ATB Rob & Al 💖🙋♂🙋♂👍
Hi Bill and Julie, to be honest i can get in and out of it pretty good now, been watching a lot of videos on it and playing around with it a lot, its pretty straight forward so far, I've not gone into the geo and navigation yet don't need it at this moment in time covered most of the permissions over and over again, will be good on a new permission to try it out, i have bought a harness for it but only use it for a couple of hours, the first day i used the CTX i was aching the day after but its not that heavy due to the balance of it when you put your arm in the arm strap, i hope after a few more outings my arm gets used to it, my right arm will be like pop eyes lol ATB to you both Al and Robbie stay safe.👌👌💪💪💪💪😁😁
Hi Bussard , thank you my friend it was a good day especially when i found the thimble and in such good condition to , hope all is good with you best wishes and good luck ATB Rob & Al 🙋♂🙋♂👍👍👍
Congrats on your silver thimble, Robbie! I was so lucky, I have only found one thimble, and it is silver! Congrats to Al on his CTX 3030, I hear it's a great machine!❤
Thank you, what a find by Robbie some lovely design on the thimble, i only ever find old rusty ones lol, Thanks again up to know the CTX seems great, but I'm only in factory settings for now when i get my head around it will explore more to see what it can do, I will keep you updated. ATB Al and Robbie stay safe.😄😁
Well done Rob and Al. The odd trowell item looks pewter? The round brass item with hole might be an old switch. The pin fire cartridge will be about 1835, but only in production for 19 years. The musket balls might be a local militia circa 1812'ish. And the thimble is stunning. Well done!
Thank you yes a great find from Rob with the thimble, We do find a few musket balls on the land, the brass item does look like some sort of switch. yes it is pewter but don't know what of, thought it was a toy it was that small ATB Al and Robbie stay safe and thank you. 😃😃😃
Congrats on your CTX purchase AL the CTX was my first detector and is a great machine and I still own it just can't use it for long as I have had shoulder surgery 3 times but it has found lots of awesome things over the years. Happy hunting guys!👍🦀
That's a shame, I've had my shoulders done 4 times 2 on each shoulder and to be honest they have been great, not saying in the long run i wont suffer, i bought the sling with it, which is great, but i only use it for a couple of hours, hope you get back on it soon mate ATB Stay safe Al and Robbie 💪💪💪💪
Hi both, Great video again. Liked the thimble, I've found a couple of silver ones in the past but always squashed... The 'musket' balls are a bit too large for a musket and are more likely to be case shot. Maybe the Hall's owner had his own militia (not uncommon around the time of the Corn Laws unrest, recently after the French Revolution) and they did a practice fire of a small cannon using case shot. As I've said before, it's definitely a permission that keeps on giving 👍🏼 Anyway, keep healthy, happy, and lucky 😀👍🏼
Hi Martyn , yes mate i was lucky with the thimble it was only a little bent and i managed to straighten it out quite easily without cracking it i would have been mortified 😲 , and i did wonder about the musket balls i though to myself these are big buggers 😲 and case shot sounds like a good idea there was a lot of cannon balls found in the area the next farm actually , and as you say it just keeps giving although it gets harder to find something good we have hammered it , anyway thanks pal and you stay safe and keep away from the gates of doom 😂 ATB Rob 🙋♂👍👍
Ive had a Ctx for years and I really enjoy using it in the beach ( it’s my favourite detector ) but it’s not quite up to modern detectors standards on pasture so I use the more modern lighter, faster detectors on pasture. Great channel just subbed you 👍
Hi , many thanks my friend it's good to hear from you and i am sure Al will get to grip's with it on the pasture i hope so he paid a lot of money for it 😂 but i agree there are more modern and lighter machines the one i use for example the Deus II , thanks for the sub mate ATB Rob & Al 🙋♂🙋♂👍👍
Them CTX 3030s are ancient and weigh an absolute tonne, whats he bought one a them for, hope he's a strong bloke 🤣 That thimble was an absolute cracker and should be on your bucketlist as it is every other metal detectorists list. Genuinely thought you had a 2nd thimble, what a stinker 🤣🤣🤣 One of these days one of you is gona unearth a gold coin on that place. Keep at it
The CTX is still a great machine still, its not that heavy have you ever used one, if you have and you think they are heavy you need to go to the gym lol
Hi mate , yes the thimble was a little belter and the second thimble impersonator deffo had my pants down 😂i was convinced it was going to be another one , and fortunately for Al he is a big bloke about 6 foot 5 and built like the proverbial brick ######## must be all that military training, anyway still looking for that gold coin fingers crossed and thanks mate ATB Rob .
