Closing Bell: Trump tariffs worry market; Nifty below 23,100, Sensex down 1,018 pts
Biggest losers on the Nifty were Apollo Hospitals, Eicher Motors, Shriram Finance, Coal India, Tata Steel, while gainers included Adani Enterprises, Trent, Bharti Airtel, Grasim Industries. All the sectoral indices ended in the red with consumer durables, capital goods, IT, oil & gas, healthcare, power, PSU, realty, telecom down 1-3 percent. Nifty Midcap index shed 3 percent, while smallcap index declines more than 3 percent.
