What needs to be said is that Ricky like any person at the top of craft like this has a balancing job off the track. To race at this level you must have 100% confidence in your equipment and yourself, but the thing that will short circuit this is turmoil. For Ricky to dominate like he did I'm sure was because Johnny Goad knew everything about Ricky but backed him all the way anyhow with the knowledge Ricky would do the same, give 100% no matter what. Racing is 95% in the mind of the competitor.

They boo'd Bubba too. 1-2-3 in a mile. Awesome race! One of my all time favorites.

For 10 yrs.I corner flagged @ Sacramento, I knew Rodney for the last few years of his life and feel very fortunate that I could call Him My friend. He and Ricky Graham were two of the friendliest people who You could have ever met on the Camel Pro tour.

Got to see Rickey win on two trips to the San Jose Mile and glad to see talent wipe the smug smiles off the Harley Team. Racing is not a team sport. Money can't buy what Rickey has and has my vote.Keep your feet on the pegs and don't look back.

I never met the man but I sure have heard a lot of things mostly what stood out was his ability to ride. how he would rise to the top and sink to the bottom only to rise again. My husband is the one who interduced me to flattrack racing. and our son started in the 50cc senior and got state plate in 96. so have met several riders and heard many things like i said.

You were lucky to have saw those races. I was lucky enough to see both Syracuse races, Lima, Harrington, and Hagerstown. What Graham could have accomplished with better luck and taking better care of himself would have been unbelieveable. I was in Watertown, NY working after the ice storm in 1998 when my wife called from home in S Jersey to say Ricky had died in a fire. I was missing home, and that just made it worse.
