    We live near Caacupe. We can also get raw milk for 5.000 Gs. Our water is 20.000 Gs per month, and electricity is 75.000 Gs per month. We are in a semi-rural area, but even so we have cable internet 100MBPS at 130.000 Gs. We don't drink nor smoke, and we eat our own food, no sugar and no processed food. Everybody is very friendly and helpful, and the area is generally safe. We sell our bakery products in front of the house. No license needed, as far as we could find out.

      What does "sem-rural" mean? If you need to get groceries, is that a short trip or a long one?

    It seems every couple weeks when I go to the market (in Texas) to buy groceries, the prices keep going up. I'm not sure what the government is talking about, with their official inflation rate, but, it seems their "annual" rate is actually the "monthly" rate.

    Swiss, lic.oec. in Paraguay for 10 years. Interesting. My experience is completely different. Paraguay is very poor in general. Business extraordinary difficult. Banking difficult. Costs are high for normal paraguayans. Imports (food) nowadays expensive or no more available due to economic situation. I own farm with own water/solar in San Pedro. Also Duplex near Asuncion. Culture is not comparable with Europe/USA. Education extremely low. If you respect the people, you can live in peace. Never mess with them. NOT AT ALL SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY. Crucial Spanish and MONEY!

    Good morning, i had a small question, as a junior graphic designer for catalogues, magazine, restaurant menus, commercial adverts, do you see a lack a graphic design in asuncion ?

    • @Moving-to-Paraguay
      @Moving-to-Paraguay  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think there is a big demand for quality graphic designers as most projects and big contracts are outsourced to Argentina or Brazil. However, you would need to speak Spanish as well as have a extra backup for a income stream. If you can offer course in Spanish about Graphic design and so on... I think you can rock it. Hard work and determination is what you need

      @@RichardBonn that is terrible to hear which country do you live in? Luckily, I have never heard of anything like that where I am in Paraguay. Don't get me wrong I know they are accustomed to the little bribe here and there, (same as most unda developed countries and some developed countries) but nothing so bad.
      I believe life is better here I have not had problems and I know a lot of people that lived here 30 years that's never had problems.
