As an engineer i was laughed at when i replace grass in the backyard with a garden! I supposed to build asphalt roads only! That was in 2008! Today i feel good and happy seeing that there are more people as you. I plant only heirloom seeds from a lady grower in Grimsby close to Niagara falls Canada.
Happy planting growing and sharing! I

I just bought some heirloom seeds. I have only a small garden and there are two buildings next to it. The sunlight only comes through the gaps in the buildings. But I will try to grow them. Like he said, if you fail it is just learning. They were really cheap too. I'll probably end up just feeding the slugs but I'll have a go.

SO WISE, YOU ARE! Yet most people on earth have no idea, that a handful of mega-corporations controls 80% of the seed, they therefore control what the majority of what is eaten as the direct result, all with little to no diversity (as you so eloquently explained!). About 17 years ago l began researching methods beyond just growing food organically, but l also learned some basic premises of permaculture, as well as the TRUTH regarding the actual DIFFERENCE between hybrid & heirloom seeds. I was outraged & began talking with other gardeners about our seed supply, the importance of seed-saving heirloom seeds, not only to save money, but also to protect diversity, the solid foundation for which to build upon for pretty much every species on the planet. Things have improved some since then & we now have many companies that sell ONLY HEIRLOOM SEEDS. The obvious choice was for me to give 100% of my business to those companies with values mirroring my own. Seed-savers aren’t the majority, however, they will be among those able to grow their own abundant healthy foods - even when the ubiquitous mono-cultured crops throughout our world get wiped out by pestilence & disease because the plants have lost their ability to build their own natural defenses. Thank you for your tireless efforts to spread THE TRUTH in every video you create‼️

My parents saved their seeds, and my Mom gave me many seeds when I got married so I loved to have a garden and they did well. I moved to Miami after my husband passed and became a "city girl". I lived there 11 yrs. I am now back in Mississippi and I have had two gardens here that were not successful. The problem is that there are NO vegetables on the stalks, but they are so pretty and look so healthy, or they never do anything and nothing even comes up. So I have given up. Could bad seeds be my problem?

I'm planning to buy my own land. I love living a freedom life but I can't now because the land is very expensive in Viet Nam.

Well you know, Jon said "Rely on each other, not money or our current system"
Recently, I just get permission from my friend dad to manage his land in Garut, Indonesia.
I talk with my friend and get to know his father is a farmer and have unused land.
      Bingo..
Try it.. Talk with people, pray, maybe you'll get a chance to make it.

Humans has turn so evil just because of wealth, greed , power , craving n etc., but they forgotten what buddha teaches and achieve enlightenment, ANNICA, the law of impermanence. Everything rises and will go away. We came into this world with nothing and we will return back to earth also with nothing. People should cultivate mindfulness, compassion and she their loving kindness to all living being. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu. I like to come and meet you when thailand can be open to foreigner again. I return from Supan in Jan 25th 2020 and because of Covid I cannot visit Thailand again.

It's actually illegal to sell certain species of vegetable in Europe. How growing plants can be a crime is beyond me.
