Never heard of this 'Gen Z' vocabulary before! I'm really grateful for this video lesson! So, I give it a try with some of them! 1. Emma's way of teaching English slap, definitely! 2. We all stan 'Pronunciation with Emma' channel! 3. The humanity, genuinity and spontaneity in a teacher's voice is something that goes hard and makes us aware of the greatness hidden in that person! That's a part of what being a teacher, for me, is all about. 4. - trying to create a new acronym 😂: "Emma is not only a W teacher; she's WWW, that stands for Wonderfully, Wittilly, Win" And about another one: W and I. They could stand for Win and Independent; 'cause the most important thing in life is when you give yourself - 'in primis' - and others the chance of doing something meaningful all your own and through big efforts. Doing something special being an independent person. You are inspirational. Thank you from an old lady (I mean a Gen X supporter) who still has the curiosity to learn from people like you! Keep it up! 🙏
Hi!! Native english speaker here! You're doing well, but here's some feedback to work with these sorts of slang terms even better: 1. Emma's way of teaching English slaps. - You have to add the S on the end of "slap" since that's how the verb is conjugated to the third person singular present! Recall the form: I, you, we, he, you, they. Slap is correct for 5 of the 6, but if the subject (that which is doing the slapping) is third person singular (e.g. he, she, a single object, etc.) then it's slap*s*. 2. You can either add an article or drop the name to make it shorter at the end. So it should be: "We all stan *the* 'Pronunciation with Emma' channel." OR "We all stan Emma's channel." (most native). In the first case, we add a "the" because the specific "Pronunication with Emma" channel is a definite person or thing - in this case, a channel with THAT specific name. Whereas in the second case we drop the "the" because it's not defined (just a channel that belongs to Emma - no specifics). 3. You did it! All correct - although that has to be the politest way I've ever heard anyone use "goes hard" :) 4. All correct here again! Although wittily is spelled with only one 'l'. Your English is really good! And slang is definitely hard to work with. Keep it up!

I have an example for goes hard In cricket,, if a team is going to play a knockout game,, which can eliminate a them from the tournament, we say that "They're gonna go hard at the opponent side". Like there was a game in this world cup which was really important for Pakistan to win,, then we used it "Pakistan are gonna go hard at England " By the way the scenario was really difficult,IYKYK.

Thank you Emma for teaching me these Slang Words. All these Slang Words are new to me. Sometimes I have seen these words spoken by actors in the films, but didn't know the real meaning. Now I know the meaning of these Slang words and how to make sentences with them. You are great Emma
Thanks a lot, for presenting a very nice and informative video. I appreciate the way you explain a complex topic in the easiest way to feel comfort to understand. So, thanks again and please make more on everyday life communicating English language.
The only one I knew was -ghosting- and that is because someone I had a crush on, blanked me overnight, for reasons I have never found out and I did my own research. Thank you for all these updates in vocabulary and phrases.
I'm 29 but this made me feel like I'm 82 😄jokes apart, thank you for taking the time to make this video. It's really useful to understand internet stuff.

Hello Emma how are you I am new at your channel and I feel very happy when I saw your first video and then I subscribed your channel and Lear a lot of words with good pronunciation Gog bless you more and more. Acutely I am going to preparations of my OET exam by profession I am nurse.
@@Pronunciationwithemma However, if you listen to the lyrics, the song actually is about a 'stan' of Eminem's. Maybe the word is not as new as we might think.
I think it's the other way around, the slang word stan is derived from the song. The Oxford English Dictionary says the slang word comes from the song. The first usage is from 2000 which is when the song came out.

Hi, thanks a lot! Wouldn't say I'm your videos' stan but this one really slaps, all of them were new except 2 of them but I really liked stan, send me, slaps, iykyk, L and W, tea and generally all of them. Btw I still have an ambiguity in my head about one of the contractions you used in the example of the slang "cap" and that's "No way she'd say that". I will appreciate it if you explain it here in the comments what's the full form and what does it mean.
The origin of the slang word "Stan" comes from an Eminem song from 2000 about an obsessed fan named Stan. The cultural impact of that song was that people starting using Stan like a verb. Thus "to Stan" meant "to support or obsess over someone/something over enthusiastically." I'm not sure if Eminem named the character in the song that way on purpose. But English speakers didn't organically start combining these words to make this slang. It comes from a song.
Which one was new for you? 🤔
all of them tbh....
Hi Emma. All of them are new for me

The term "ghosting" originated in the early 2000s. That's earlier than Generation Z is it not? You guys were still little kids or babies at that age.
