I like how you provide the names of some of the cool plant and fungi species -- total respect for that. Moreover, total respect for taking on the Long Trail, which is the grandaddy of them all. Not for the faint of heart, especially with a bum knee. I hope it continued to get better!
Thank you! I love learning about all the different plants and mushrooms as a way to entertain myself on the trail, as well as using the Merlin app to ID bird calls :) My knee definitely slowed me down a bit but I still ended up finishing in less days on trail than I was planning 😊
Since you know all the Latin names of the Flowers, and Mushrooms, I wonder what your Major was? Mine was Forestry and we had one course on Herbaceous plants, but very little of it took root in my memory! Or course that was back in around 1979, lol.
Haha I actually haven’t gone to college (yet), but definifely want to do something wildlife bio or zoology related if I do go. I grew up reading my parent’s field guide books IDing mushrooms, birds, plants, reptiles, mammals, etc so I always like excuses to look things up in those :)
Hi Hannah, it probably felt really good to get back on the trail, even in the "tunnel". I hope your knee is feeling better. I don't know what happened but I've posted videos on my Channel that could help a lot (hint: it's not about stretching or strengthening). Good luck! ☮❤🤝
Just found your channel. I’m enjoying your content. Especially when you identify the flora and fauna. Oh and George he’s cool too.
Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll check those out!
Mt. Horrid used to be known for peregrine falcons nesting site, not sure if they are still there.
Yes, still is! The cliffs are closed part of the year to people so we don’t disturb them
Like your companion animal easier to feed. 👻
Thank you! It was very pretty :)
what for people-eating bear!
they don't care about anything!!!
