If we want to keep this industry alive, we need to increase its value, we need to upskill the workers as well as care for them. I hope the government and BGMEA will introduce proper regulations regarding RMG for better export, and sustainability.
I had worked in RMG sectors at the Multinational and Local Levels as an Engineer and in Administrative Sectors. I guess, the main problem of our RMG sectors is the negligence and recruiting of ineligible people to run the sector. Madam, you're talking about the foreseeable feature but current prospects need to change, bribery and black money are the main failure nowadays in RMG sectors and also lack of loyalty.
