this is basically like what would happen if those "gotta stop the wedding to confess my feelings to the girl i've been in love with since childhood" sort of movie endings happened in real life
wedding objections and confessions make me suffer so much second hand embarrassment, regardless if the bride/groom agrees to run away with the objector.
@@jasminedoan543 same, like damn, there is so much work and preparation and money and traveling spent on the wedding for staff, groom's family, bride's family and guests involved. They do all this work, only to have it interrupted by someone who didn't think about his own feelings before the wedding was prepared in the first place, even more if the bride or groom runs away with them, not caring about the work put into their own wedding.
You know? In an interview Bill Hader said that he had major respect for Kenan, because Kenan without a doubt is a performer and commits always to any character he does and goes the whole 9 yards with it. That's a great compliment from another awesome performer and I think we all can agree that Kenan is one of the best comedians on snl :)
"My beautiful wife of 6 years..Jackie.." and was like ...WHAAAAAATTT!!!! hahahahaha... 😂😂 SNL its skits like these tht mks me watch it agn and agn & agn...!!
If Andrew Garfield showed up on my wedding day I’d be gone with him the second I saw him (by the way i’m joking. some of you clearly don’t understand that)
So a man *married* for *6 years* with *4 kids* expresses his *love* to his *cousin's wife* in front of his wife, his cousin, his kids and more... *AT THEIR WEDDING!* *Brilliant*
The genius of this is how gradually throughout the sketch the relationships between everyone involved come to light and the mere shock of it all. Very funny and smart.
Wow, now THIS is how you do comedy. The foundation of great comedy is a great mystery. Everyone nowadays seems to forget that. Bravo SNL, welcome back:)
+Cinemaniac Jean It's also just dawned on me that Andrew Garfield was raised in the UK, so as far as delivery goes, this sketch is British. I think I might be racist.
Meanwhile, I’m wondering why the maid of honor looks so upset. I mean yes it’s awkward but she looks so offended then *POW!* 2:45 *l’m gonna toss it over to the maid of honor, my beautiful wife of six years, Jackie.”*
man the energy Andrew brought into the sketch is amazing
This sketch is everything

Yeah. It's like if what happened in the sketch has also happened in a movie. What an enlightening idea.
1:16 - 1:22 I love that Andrew is so naturally endearing that the audience said “awww 🥺” when he got rejected 😂
I think that just made it even mote hilarious when we got to know more about his family lol

ooo-eeee, what's up with that, what's up with that
hahaha XD
So true
Its impossible to hate keenan
This deserved a much bigger response, so beautifully awkward.
Can we take a momento to appreciate his perfect american accent. Wow
Tiago Barbs American accents are the easiest so he’s not really good.
It's good when it makes you forget he's attempting an accent.
M Bocioaca I swear I had to look up to see if he was British. Fully believed for a while that he was American
He was born in America to an American father to be fair.
But he is American-British
"Boy, sit your ass down!"- that line was the icing on the cake. The awkwardness was real.
By then it isn't mere awkwardness. He needs to be told off.
i agree. i was laughing so hard, soooo awkward, and then... the perfect ending! hahahahahhhaha
Its already 7 yrs ago but the way i still cant getover Andrew's "oooh JackieEh..." 😂😂😂
It cracks me up every time 😂😂😂

Probably a weird place to write this, but Andrew Garfield is one of the most underrated actors of our time.

Taran's face! He always has that impassive look and he kills me everytime! What a weird talent.
Vicaohlaluna like when he plays a DJ who was in love with Vanessa Bayer while she made out with Russell Brand hahahaha
OMG SAME! finally someone who realised too hahahaha, cracks me up every single time

Yes he did. Yes he did.
I heard it too!!
When?

@Vintage Conjurer It's not that deep bro.

They are not all boys.
Those kids are great.
andrew saying “thank you babe” to bobby when he handed him the mic is *severely* underrated
Okay so he did say that I thought I was hearing things lol
The little kids are so cute they still had the same shocked expressions even when they weren't in focus
bless andys heart, he gave his all in this sketch :)
He was hoping to catch that garter too!

1:17 the tiny sound of awwww from the audience 😂
The part with Nasim and the kids was hilarious LOL
Yeah the kids faces crack me up xxx
snl should have an awards night to highlight the best performances/hosts for each season. this particular performance of andrew is flawless.
Kenan is brilliant, hope he never leaves. The things he can do with his eyes...
Umm..
I CONSTANTLY forget he has a British accent his American accent is just THAT good
I only remembered when I came to the comment section
Mom is British dad is American is prob easy for him to switch to an American accent
The genius of this is how gradually throughout the sketch the relationships between everyone involved come to light and the mere shock of it all. Very funny and smart.
omg Garfield is hilarious in this " whoo! Jackie!"
Props to Taram for holding that face. Hes awesome.
It always takes that one brave soul to finally say, "sit'cho ass down!" We thank you, sir for your valued service.
that awkward level went over 9000!!!!!!! XD same type here too..
That was a great skit well done to Garfield!
Andrew nailed this for sure!

they need andrew to host again. would love to see more of him

I want Andrew Garfield to say this speech at my wedding

Taran's facial expressions, are great.
Nasim was so good in everything she does. I love her as Jasmine.
